Make the extraordinary everlasting - with us.

At EC, we craft extraordinary experiences that leave a lasting impression - not just for our clients, but for our people too. We blend the big ideas of a creative agency with the meticulous execution of a production company, bringing bold, imaginative events to life.

We're collaborative, down-to-earth, and serious about delivering quality - all while finding time for lightness and fun. If you're someone who's curious, adaptable and excited to do meaningful work with a team that's got your back, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to turn your love of flowers, plants and design into thoughtful floral concepts for memorable events. You’ll create beautiful, practical and commercially successful designs for well-known brands, private clients and event partners.

As Floral Designer, you’ll take an appropriate level of ownership from brief through to quotation and design handover. You’ll report to the Head of Design and work closely with clients, event producers, account managers, buying, operations and production teams. The role is based in London, with time spent in our office and warehouse, at suppliers and at event venues.

Who are you?

Essential

  • A strong portfolio that shows your design thinking, with clear context about your contribution to each project.
  • A genuine interest in flowers and plants, with curiosity about varieties, materials, techniques and trends.
  • The creativity to turn a brief into a clear concept and explain your design choices confidently.
  • Experience preparing accurate quantities, quotations or budgets, with an understanding of commercial considerations.
  • The ability to maintain accurate project information and manage several priorities with overlapping deadlines.
  • A clear and professional communication style when working with clients, colleagues and suppliers.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of practical floristry, including flower care, conditioning, mechanics, preparation and installation, to help you create informed and achievable designs. This role does not involve hands-on floristry.
  • Experience in event floristry, proposals or event logistics.
  • Experience contributing to site visits or installation planning.
  • Familiarity with RAMS, HubSpot or R2.
  • An understanding of seasonal flowers, responsible sourcing, foam-free methods, reuse and waste reduction.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Creative Design

  • Interpret client briefs and develop thoughtful floral concepts, mood boards, layouts, palettes and design ideas.
  • Present fresh ideas and explain your creative choices clearly.
  • Adapt concepts to suit the venue, client objectives, budget and practical requirements.
  • Develop designs with consideration for flower availability, materials, mechanics and installation.

Quoting and Commercial Planning

  • Prepare clear, accurate and timely quotations.
  • Calculate quantities and costs, keeping track of changes as concepts develop.
  • Balance creativity, client value and profitability when making recommendations.
  • Flag changes to scope, timings or budgets at an early stage.

Client and Project Coordination

  • Build positive client relationships by asking focused questions, sharing ideas and managing expectations.
  • Coordinate milestones, approvals, suppliers and internal handovers.
  • Keep client, quotation, purchase order, schedule, cost and project information accurate.
  • Collaborate with studio, buying, operations, production, logistics, technical, scenic and manufacturing teams.

Design Delivery

  • Contribute to site visits and installation planning.
  • Confirm that designs account for access, structures, water, tools, public areas and venue requirements.
  • Provide the information needed for operations and floristry teams to source, prepare, install and de-rig each design.
  • Review finished work against the agreed design and quality standards.

What success looks like?

  • Floral concepts are creative, practical and aligned with each client’s brief, venue and budget.
  • Quotations, quantities and project information are accurate, commercially sensible and delivered on time.
  • Clients receive clear ideas, thoughtful updates and a consistent experience throughout the design process.
  • Internal teams receive complete and timely design information, supporting smooth sourcing, production, installation and de-rig.
  • Designs consider responsible sourcing, seasonal options, reusable materials and opportunities to reduce waste.
