  • Set and govern engineering standards, development practices, and release management across the technology function
  • Own technical relationships with key infrastructure partners, including central bank sandbox and RTGS synchronisation initiatives, ensuring technical delivery meets partner and regulatory expectations

  • Manage technology budget, vendor relationships, and build-vs-buy decisions across infrastructure, tooling, and third-party services
  • Represent Quant's technology capability externally with clients, regulators, partners, and at industry forums
  • Report technology performance, risk, and roadmap progress to the CEO, Executive Committee, and Board as required

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in Financial Services or Fintech (essential)
  • Must have previously held a CTO role, with a proven track record within fintech, payments, banking infrastructure, or DLT/blockchain environments
  • Deep technical credibility in distributed systems, DLT/blockchain architecture, or payments infrastructure, with the ability to engage at both strategic and technical depth
  • Experience operating within regulated financial services environments, including working knowledge of relevant security, data, and regulatory frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams at scale, including geographically distributed teams
  • Experience overseeing or working closely with an information security function, ideally with a CISO as a direct report
  • Previous customer/client-facing experience, including partnering with Sales and Consulting teams to help define technical solutions for clients
  • Strong commercial acumen and comfort operating at Executive Committee and Board level
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging banks, central banks, or other regulated institutional clients on technical matters

Our Shared Values

We have expertise in finance and technology in common but what unites us is our beliefs. We believe in:

Innovation: We love a challenge and have little respect for the status quo. Experience has taught us that problems are a matter of perspective and that, with new ideas and a fresh way of looking at things, solutions often present themselves.

Ambition: The scale of a task won't deter us when we believe it will take as closer to our vision. Every problem is an opportunity. Every obstacle, the chance to take a calculated risk and question assumptions. In short, we're not afraid to think big.

Trust: Fundamental to a prosperous economy, trust also lies at the heart of our company. Indeed, we believe it is the bedrock of a healthy society committed to equality and fairness. We trust each other, we engineer trust into our solutions, and we work hard every day to earn the trust of our clients and partners.

Adaptability: We remain open-minded, objective and flexible at all times. When the facts change, so does our approach. We embrace that agility and encourage all those we work with to do the same.

Respect: We're respectful of the ideas and perspectives of others, we celebrate people's differences and recognise their achievements. We also hold the needs and health of our environment dear. And we have no tolerance for bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind.

Please note that as we are unable to offer sponsorship for this position, we are focusing our search initially to candidates who have the right to work and indefinite leave to remain in the United Kingdom.

Technology powers our progress, but people drive our success. While we embrace innovation to enhance efficiency, we believe that true talent deserves a personal connection. Every candidate is thoughtfully reviewed by a member of our team - because finding the right people is more than a process, its a commitment to our core values.

Updated closing date for applications is 17.00 GMT/18.00 CET on 13th November 2026
