Senior Supply Chain AI Consultant and Facilitator
Intelance
Intelance is looking for a senior associate contractor who can connect deep supply chain experience with practical use of artificial intelligence. You will help large organisations identify useful AI applications, build credible case studies and deliver workshops that stand up to expert scrutiny. This is a flexible freelance associate role. Assignments are agreed through separate statements of work.
Tasks
• Interview leaders and subject specialists across planning, logistics, manufacturing, inventory and supplier management.
• Map real supply chain tasks, decisions, risks and information flows.
• Identify where generative AI, analytics or automation can help and where human judgement must remain in control.
• Turn discovery findings into realistic case studies, prompts and laptop based exercises.
• Co facilitate full day workshops for mixed seniority groups.
• Explain supply chain examples in clear language without losing operational detail.
• Challenge weak or unsafe AI use cases and define practical checks.
• Help create reusable prompt templates for different supply chain functions.
• Review learning content for accuracy, relevance and regulatory risk.
• Work closely with AI specialists, learning designers and client teams.
Requirements
• At least eight years of hands on supply chain experience.
• Strong knowledge of several areas such as demand planning, supply planning, inventory, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, procurement or supplier management.
• Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, life sciences or another regulated industry.
• Practical experience applying AI, analytics or automation to supply chain work.
• Strong consulting, discovery and workshop facilitation skills.
• Evidence of turning operational problems into clear case studies or learning exercises.
• Good understanding of confidential data, quality controls and regulated decision making.
• Confidence working with senior leaders and experienced supply chain professionals.
• Availability for remote preparation and travel to UK client sites when required.
• Right to work in the UK and ability to provide services as an independent contractor.
Benefits
• Flexible associate work with clear assignments and agreed deliverables.
• Remote discovery and preparation with planned travel for client sessions.
• The chance to shape practical AI use in complex supply chain environments.
• Work with experienced AI, learning and consulting specialists.
• Clear scope, delivery dates and commercial terms for each assignment.
• Potential for repeat work across Intelance supply chain and AI programmes.
Please apply with your current CV and a short note describing the strongest supply chain AI, analytics or automation work you have delivered. Include the functions you know best, your regulated industry experience, workshop experience, UK location, travel availability and normal day rate excluding VAT.
The selection process will include an initial screening, a structured interview, a practical case study discussion and reference checks.
