You turn complex commercial questions into clear, practical advice that helps operational teams move with confidence.
You enjoy getting close to the business, understanding what really matters and finding solutions that balance pace, risk and commercial reality.
The opportunity
Join easyJet’s Legal team as a trusted business partner to Engineering & Maintenance and other critical Operations functions. You’ll provide vital commercial legal support across relationships and supply chains in the UK, Europe and beyond.
Reporting to the Head of Legal for Engineering, Maintenance and Ops, you’ll advise on complex contracts, supplier relationships and risk in a fast-paced aviation environment.
“This role is about combining strong commercial judgement with genuine curiosity about how the operation works. We’re looking for someone who can cut through complexity, explain risk clearly and help colleagues find a practical way forward.” easyJet Legal team
The team & culture
You’ll be a key member of the Legal team, working closely with colleagues across Engineering & Maintenance and Ops, Commercial, and Competition & Regulation.
You’ll also collaborate across the wider General Counsel’s Office, including Company Secretary, digital safety and data protection. The style is informal, energetic and supportive, with people encouraged to lean in and help solve business challenges.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll advise on major commercial relationships and supply chains, particularly within Engineering & Maintenance, covering contracts, supplier management and risk.
You’ll review and negotiate complex supply agreements with large multinational suppliers, giving clear, pragmatic advice that keeps commercial priorities in view.
You’ll build trusted relationships across the business and Legal, manage competing priorities and contribute ideas for using technology, including Microsoft 365 and Copilot, to streamline legal work, templates and processes.
What we’re looking for
You’ll be a commercial lawyer with 8+ years’ PQE and solid contracting experience, ideally gained in-house. Experience in engineering, maintenance, aerospace, manufacturing, transport, infrastructure or another complex, asset-intensive industry would be valuable.
You can get to the heart of an issue, assess risk and communicate a practical view clearly. You’re comfortable advising on complex supplier arrangements while understanding the wider commercial picture.
You’re proactive, self-motivated and calm under pressure, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities. Just as importantly, you build constructive relationships and enjoy working as part of a team.
What you’ll get
> Competitive base salary + up to 20%25 bonus
> 7%25 employer pension contribution
> Private medical insurance
> 25 days holiday + bank holidays
> Annual credit towards an easyJet holiday
> Excellent staff travel benefits
