Senior Creator Producer — Frontpage Golf
About us
Frontpage Golf is the Daily Mail's new golf brand, launching in November 2026. It will be home to everything we make in golf: social, YouTube series, podcasts and, at the centre of it all, the Daily Mail Open.
The Daily Mail Open is our amateur pairs tournament, relaunched for 2027. At its peak it drew 190,000 golfers. Sign-ups open in December.
We want Frontpage Golf to be the best of British golf: great courses, great kit, strong design and generous hospitality, with a sense of humour. Most UK golf media looks tired. We think there's room for a brand that makes the game look as good as it feels to play.
We start with something most new golf brands never get. The Daily Mail puts us in front of millions of readers every day across print, web and app, and dmg media's social team, who have built some of the biggest social audiences in the world, are working alongside us from day one.
The role
We're hiring one producer to work directly with the first creator to join Frontpage Golf. They're one of the UK's best-known golf creators, with their own format and a loyal audience. You'll be their filmer, editor, producer and, for now, part-time social media manager.
It's an all-hands job while we scale. You make sure every shoot happens, every episode gets edited and every clip gets cut and posted. Much of your time will be on the road with the creator: at clubs, on courses, at qualifiers and with the players taking part in the Open.
In year one, everything you make has one aim: get golfers talking about the Daily Mail Open, signing up and following the road to the finals. The creator keeps their own channel and format, and we'll help them grow it. Your work feeds both.
What you'll do
Film and produce
- Shoot the creator's flagship series, mostly solo, bringing in a second shooter when a day needs one.
- Plan every shoot: schedule, locations, club access and permissions, travel and kit.
- Brief and book freelance crew (camera, sound, photographers, editors) and manage those relationships.
- Run podcast and long-form recordings in the studios we provide.
Follow the road to the finals
- Cover the Daily Mail Open across its season, from the first club qualifiers to finals day in September.
- Film with the pairs and clubs taking part: player profiles, club profiles, competitions on the day and the moments that make people want to enter next year.
- Capture finals day as the big set piece of the year.
Edit and publish
- Edit long-form episodes yourself in Premiere or similar, or oversee a freelance editor when volume calls for it. Either way, you own what goes out.
- Make Shorts, TikToks and Reels as their own content, planned at the shoot, with each one built for the platform it lives on.
- Handle titles, thumbnails, descriptions, chapters and scheduling.
Run social (part-time)
- Manage the creator's posting around the series and the Open.
- Supply clips and content for Frontpage Golf's own channels, and help run community formats like follower-submitted halfway hut reviews.
- Work with dmg media's social team on what's performing and feed it back into the plan.
Deliver for partners
- Produce sponsor content for series partners and the Open's title partner, to brief and on time, in a way that fits the show.
Budget and reporting
- Manage the production budget per shoot and across the year, and flag overruns early.
- Report monthly on views, watch time, retention, follower growth and Open sign-ups driven by the content.
Who you are
- You've shot, edited and published YouTube content yourself, from planning to upload. Ideally you've done it alongside a creator, where you ran the logistics, the crew and the budget.
- You like working lean. One producer, one creator, a lot of output. If you're used to a production house with a department behind you, this probably isn't for you.
- You can shoot run-and-gun on a golf course and still come back with clean audio and good pictures.
- You're strong in Premiere or similar.
- You understand YouTube and short-form: what makes a thumbnail work, how retention drives distribution, and what Shorts need that long-form doesn't.
- You're organised to a fault. A creator's diary, several formats and a tournament calendar won't stay on track without someone running a tight schedule.
- You have an eye. Our content is about the clubs, the characters, the travel and the feel of the game as much as the golf itself, and it should look premium.
- You know golf and you're comfortable at a club. Playing well is optional.
- You build trust with talent quickly, and you're happy with travel, early starts and weekends in season.
What you get
- A seat at the start of a new golf media brand, with the Daily Mail's reach and dmg media's social growth team behind everything you make.
- Real ownership of production. If it gets made and it's good, that's down to you.
- A clear path. Frontpage Golf will sign more presenters, and each will need a producer. Do year one well and this role grows into leading production across the talent roster, with a team and more creative control.
- Access to the Daily Mail Open, Frontpage Golf events and some of the best courses in the country.
- [Kit allowance or partner kit: TBC]
Details
