You will lead a team of Claims Advocates and Specialists who manage some of the world’s most respected clients, including international blue-chip Professional Services firms and Financial Institutions. Our team specialises in Professional Indemnity (PI), Cyber, Intellectual Property (IP), Directors & Officers (D&O), Crime, Pensions Trustee Liability (PTL), Employment Practices Liability (EPL) and Management Liability (ML) claims.

What the day will look like

You will make a real difference by delivering high-quality coverage analysis, advocacy, technical and strategic claims management support to clients. Managing and overseeing claims from notification to closure, you will engage closely with clients, brokers, insurers/reinsurers and other stakeholders to secure successful outcomes.

• Lead, coach and mentor a team of c8 Claims Advocates and Specialists, based across London and Chelmsford, helping them to grow their technical and consulting skills.
• Own the oversight and management of complex professional and financial lines claims for large multinational clients, from initial notification through to resolution.
• Provide expert technical claims advocacy, guiding clients through complex coverage disputes and challenging on claims.
• Build strong, positive relationships with clients, brokers, insurers/reinsurers and other collaborators throughout the claims process.
• Deliver clear, confident claims presentations and insights to clients and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate across the wider Global Broking Centre and the Aon network to deliver an outstanding claims service.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Extensive experience handling complex PI claims, along with Cyber, IP, D&O, Crime, PTL, EPL and ML.
• Demonstrable experience of claims advocacy and strategic claims management.
• Proven people management experience, with a track record of developing colleagues’ technical and claims management skills.
• Excellent client-management, influencing, negotiation and communication and presentation skills.
• Confidence presenting to, and leading discussions with, senior stakeholders, including legal professionals, on technical coverage arguments.
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across broking, placement and claims teams.
• A legal background is preferred, but not essential.
