DC Byte is the leading provider of market data, research, and intelligence for the global data centre sector. At the heart of an industry that quietly keeps the world connected, our technology-led platform empowers the key players designing and developing digital infrastructure to make high-stakes, multi-billion-dollar investment and strategy decisions.

We deliver the most accurate, real-time, and unbiased insights into colocation and self-build enterprise assets worldwide—supporting developers, investors, and operators, including the world’s largest hyperscalers.

We’re looking for an outstanding Senior Business Development Manager to join DC Byte and win some of the most important prospective customers in the EMEA data centre market.

You’ll own a defined portfolio of flagship target accounts, using your data centre industry expertise to open doors, build senior relationships and turn complex customer needs into significant new business for DC Byte. You’ll lead strategic opportunities from initial engagement through to close, working closely with the VP Sales and teams across Research, Product and the wider business, with the opportunity to sell solutions that can span regions and product suites. If you enjoy winning complex, high-value business and have deep experience in the data centre industry, this role is for you.

  • deeply experienced in the data centre industry, with strong knowledge of the market, its participants and the commercial challenges facing customers
  • a proven new-business seller who can demonstrate success winning significant B2B deals with large and complex organisations
  • experienced in selling subscription and information services; experience in data subscriptions, research or intelligence is particularly valuable
  • skilled at developing strategic target accounts, identifying routes into an organisation and building momentum where relationships do not already exist
  • comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and capable of developing the credibility required to operate increasingly independently at VP and C-suite level
  • commercially curious and consultative, able to uncover customer challenges and develop compelling use cases rather than relying on transactional selling
  • experienced in navigating multi-stakeholder sales processes and bringing together commercial, technical and strategic decision-makers
  • disciplined in pipeline management, forecasting and account planning, with the ability to focus on a relatively small number of high-value opportunities
  • collaborative and comfortable bringing in senior leadership and subject-matter experts to strengthen an opportunity when required
  • based in London and flexible to travel across EMEA for prospect meetings, industry events and conferences, with occasional engagement across other global regions
  • own and develop a defined portfolio of flagship EMEA target accounts, with responsibility for delivering significant new recurring revenue
  • build clear strategic pursuit plans for priority prospects, mapping stakeholders, customer priorities, potential use cases and routes to winning each account
  • create and close high-value new-business opportunities, with an expectation that individual strategic deals can generate recurring revenue
  • lead the sales cycle from prospect engagement and discovery through to solution development, proposal, negotiation and close, working with the VP Sales on major deal strategy and negotiations
  • use your knowledge of the data centre sector to engage prospects credibly, challenge their thinking and demonstrate how DC Byte can support their investment, strategy and commercial decisions
  • identify opportunities to sell across DC Byte’s products, geographies and use cases, including solutions that may extend beyond EMEA into customers’ global organisations
  • develop increasingly senior relationships within target accounts and build multi-threaded engagement across customer organisations
  • collaborate with Research, Product and other subject-matter experts to create compelling solutions for complex strategic prospects
  • maintain a strong, qualified pipeline and accurate forecasting in HubSpot, with clear next steps and commercial plans for every priority opportunity
  • represent DC Byte at relevant customer meetings, conferences and industry events across EMEA, strengthening our presence with the leading organisations in the sector
  • 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays), increasing to up to 29 days
  • Christmas Week closure
  • Enhanced pension contribution: we match up to 5%
  • Private health insurance with Vitality
  • Generous anniversary rewards, including access to career coaching, vouchers for days out and a holiday stipend
  • Up to one month working remotely per year
  • £150 stipend towards your homeworking set up
  • Access to Government Cycle Scheme
  • Free coffee, tea, drinks and snacks in the office
