The opportunity

The Senior Benefits Specialist - EMEA is a critical operational and project management role within Unity’s Total Rewards team. This role focuses on the end-to-end administration, implementation, and optimization of benefits programs for employees across the EMEA and India regions. Success requires a blend of exceptional organisational skills, vendor management, and project management expertise. The Senior Specialist takes ownership of the annual renewal lifecycle's operational execution, drives cross-regional benefits projects, and balances strict regulatory compliance with an enhanced, seamless employee experience.

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of health, welfare, retirement, and time-off programs across EMEA and India, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation.
  • Serve as the senior point of contact for employee queries across EMEA and India, providing timely, accurate guidance on first reply and collaborating with regional specialists to ensure a seamless employee experience.
  • Create and manage the overarching project plan and timeline for all assigned EMEA renewals, initiating pre-renewal logistics, organising vendor meetings, and managing operational, procurement, and security reviews.
  • Collect, analyse, and format all necessary reports (e.g., financial quotes, utilization data, claims experience) alongside market benchmarking data to comprehensively support the Senior Benefits Manager in creating renewal proposals.
  • Drive the execution of renewals post-approval by managing all administrative and operational tasks, including Workday updates, invoice setup, and cross-functional coordination with Payroll, Compliance, and Legal.
  • Draft the employee communication strategy (announcements, intranet updates) for Senior Manager sign-off, and independently lead the Open Enrollment and renewal presentations for employees.
  • Lead proactive benefits projects and policy alignments across multiple regions countries to identify and implement opportunities for operational improvements and standardisation.
  • Partner with external brokers and vendors to manage benefits-related services, address region-specific needs, and hold partners accountable to operational service levels.
  • Conduct audits and quality checks across benefits systems to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance. Propose solutions for any issues identified and shared with the Senior manager for review and sign off.

What we're looking for

  • 6+ years of experience in benefits administration, HR operations, or related roles, with direct experience managing complex benefits renewals and implementations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business (or a related field), or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of EMEA and India benefits regulations, including statutory requirements and market benchmarking.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, specifically in creating timelines, managing milestones, and coordinating with cross-functional teams (Payroll, Legal, Procurement).
  • Strong vendor management experience, including handling contracts, operational reviews, and renewal logistics.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel) for analyzing financial quotes, utilisation data, auditing, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to independently lead/coordinate enrollment presentations and draft communication strategies.

You might also have

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent credentials.
  • Advanced experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) including configuring benefits administrative updates.
  • Familiarity with trends in employee wellbeing and engagement.
  • Experience with AI tools such as Claude Cowork
