The Seasonal Retail Operations Assistant role is an exciting opportunity to help keep our boutique running seamlessly through our busiest trading periods — processing deliveries and transfers, supporting repairs and engravings, and maintaining impeccable back-of-house and visual merchandising standards so the team can focus on our clients.
What you’ll do
As a Seasonal Retail Operations Assistant, you are the engine room of the boutique during our busiest times of year. This is a behind-the-scenes, operations-focused role. Your day is all about precision, pace and pride in the details: you'll process incoming deliveries and stock transfers, support the smooth running of repairs and engravings, and keep back-of-house and the shop floor immaculate and on-brand. By keeping everything organised, accurate and to standard, you free the boutique team to deliver an exceptional client experience.
Deliveries, Transfers & Stock
- Receive, check and process incoming deliveries accurately and promptly, ensuring quantities and paperwork match
- Prepare, pack and dispatch inter-boutique stock transfers securely and on time, keeping accurate records throughout
- Support stock takes, cycle counts and stock management, helping maintain inventory accuracy across the boutique
- Ensure all product is handled with care, correctly labelled and stored to protect its quality and value
Repairs & Engravings
- Log, track and process client repairs, keeping clear records and ensuring items move through the workflow on time
- Prepare and support the delivery of engravings and personalisation services to MV quality standards
- Keep repair and engraving documentation accurate and up to date, flagging any delays or issues to the management team
Back-of-House & Visual Merchandising
- Keep back-of-house tidy, organised and running efficiently, with stock, online orders and supplies easy to locate
- Maintain visual merchandising to MV guidelines, replenishing product and ensuring displays are full, clean and on-brand
- Support boutique readiness for opening and close, and help maintain high standards of store maintenance and presentation
- Ensure the boutique environment reflects MV luxury standards at all times
Standards, Compliance & Teamwork
- Follow all MV procedures and policies, bringing strong attention to detail and accuracy to everything you do
- Be a positive, collaborative presence, supporting the wider team wherever needed during peak trade
- Communicate clearly and positively with colleagues and management, and welcome feedback as a way to keep improving
- Stay calm, resilient and action-oriented in busy moments, managing your time and priorities with professionalism
What you’ll bring
- Operational Excellence: You will keep the boutique running seamlessly through deliveries, transfers, repairs, engravings, back-of-house and visual merchandising, upholding MV luxury standards through precise, accurate execution and attention to detail.
- High Performance Team: You will be a positive, collaborative team member, supporting the wider team through busy trading periods, communicating openly and embracing feedback and change with a can-do attitude.
To be successful at Monica Vinader, it helps if you...
- Are hands-on, solutions-focused, and entrepreneurial
- Collaborate openly with humility, honesty, and humour
- Embrace learning, teaching, and personal growth
- Stay resilient, adaptable, and self-motivated in a creative environment
- Speak up when you don’t know - and act fast to figure it out
Additional Requirements
- Ability to document your authorisation to work in the United Kingdom
- Fully flexible to work Monday-Sunday and when required
Travel Requirements
Primary placement will be at our Duke of York and Covent Garden Boutiques, with flexibility to assist at additional London boutiques as needed.
