Description and requirements
At Skanska, we’re shaping the way we live, work and connect. As one of the world’s largest construction and development companies, we work together with customers, communities and partners to shape a better society.
You will be working in the Building Services OU where we bring Skanska’s purpose to build for a better society to life - creating healthy workplaces, comfortable homes and efficient facilities that improve people’s lives. Through collaboration and innovation, we deliver high-quality solutions that make a lasting, positive impact for people and communities.
As experts in MEP engineering, we're delivering technically challenging data centre fit-outs and projects across commercial, education, and defence sectors.
We are currently looking for a Project Director who will lead the delivery of large scale multi-disciplinary commercial projects from early engagement, tender, PCSA, Preconstruction, Construction and post completion of the project lifecycle.
As the Project Director, you will:
- Participate in the implementation of the Skanska Building Services Business Strategy for developing and delivering within the commercial market.
- Ensure that the commercial and contractual interests of the company are managed and always protected.
- Lead, develop and monitor the strategy for enhancing our customer base in the sectors for which this role applies. This will include key account management for customers identified in the business plan.
- Proactively identifying and tracking new project opportunities at different stages, identifying the key influencers and decision makers.
- Compile tender submissions and fully control the process to achieve sign off from SLT.
- Recruiting, developing, mentoring, supporting, leading and retaining a core ‘talent pool’ of highly capable project team members.
We are looking for:
- Experienced engineering background in the MEPH discipline.
- High level of commercial acumen with a proven track record of working in tendering, PCSA, preconstruction, project procurement and project execution phases for medium to large scale commercial projects.
- You are likely to have project teams working on large commercial schemes in London and in the surrounding areas, with projects with a MEP value of over £50M.
- Evidence of building effective relationships with clients.
- Experience in recruiting, developing, supporting, leading and retaining highly successful large project teams.
What we offer:
- 24/7 digital GP service for you and your family
- Financial wellbeing and employee assistance
- Professional development
- Enhanced family benefits (including maternity, paternity, dependants and parental bereavement leave)
