At Hudl, we build great teams. We hire the best of the best to ensure you’re working with people you can constantly learn from. You’re trusted to get your work done your way while testing the limits of what’s possible and what’s next. We work hard to provide a culture where everyone feels supported, and our employees feel it—their votes helped us become one of Newsweek's Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces.

We think of ourselves as the team behind the team, supporting the lifelong impact sports can have: the lessons in teamwork and dedication; the influence of inspiring coaches; and the opportunities to reach new heights. That’s why we help teams from all over the world see their game differently. Our products make it easier for coaches and athletes at any level to capture video, analyze data, share highlights and more.

Your Role

We're looking for a Product Designer to help shape the shared experiences and systems that connect Hudl's products.

Hudl is bringing together products used across sports, teams and organizations into a more connected platform. That creates design problems that don't always fit neatly within a single feature or product: how information is structured, how common workflows behave across products, how video and data work together, and how emerging technologies like AI change the way people interact with Hudl.

You'll work within Core UX, the team responsible for the design foundations that help Hudl's products feel clear, consistent and connected. Our work includes shared patterns and experiences, information architecture, video and data, and the systems that help product teams build at scale.

In this role, you'll:

  • Solve connected problems. You'll work on experiences that cross features, products and workflows, considering how individual design decisions fit into the broader Hudl platform.
  • Make complexity easier to understand. You'll turn complicated workflows, information and technical constraints into experiences that feel clear and intuitive.
  • Work across teams. You'll partner with product, engineering and other designers to understand problems, explore solutions and help create experiences that can work at scale.
  • Design from evidence. You'll learn directly from customers, use research and product data to inform your work, and test and iterate on ideas as you go.
  • Own your work through delivery. You'll independently run scoped design projects, working from early exploration through implementation and measuring how well the solution works once it's shipped.

For this role, we're currently considering candidates who are within commuting distance of our offices in London, but we're also open to remote candidates in the U.K.

Must-Haves

  • Strong product design craft. You can turn complex requirements into clear, intuitive experiences through strong interaction and visual design. You know how to choose the right methods and level of fidelity for the problem, moving between exploration, prototyping and delivery.
  • Systems thinking. You're comfortable working through ambiguity, naturally look for connections, and consider how a solution might affect other workflows, users or parts of a product.
  • Collaborative communication. You can explain your thinking, seek out feedback and work through different perspectives with product, engineering and design partners.
  • Customer and evidence focus. You're comfortable talking with customers and using research, product data and other evidence to make and evaluate design decisions.
  • AI fluency. You actively use AI tools in your design process and are curious about how AI changes the products we design. You're comfortable experimenting with emerging interaction patterns and thinking critically about where AI can improve an experience.
  • A strong portfolio. You can show how you've worked through product problems, including your reasoning, collaboration and iteration rather than only the final solution.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with complex or connected products. You’ve designed experiences that span multiple workflows, surfaces or parts of a larger product, and understand how individual design decisions contribute to a cohesive experience.
  • Experience with data-rich or technical products. You’ve designed products involving complex data, analytics, video or other technically challenging workflows.
  • Experience with design systems or information architecture. You’ve worked with shared patterns, design systems, information architecture or other foundations that help experiences scale across a product.
  • AI product design experience. You’ve designed conversational, agentic or other AI-powered experiences and have explored emerging interaction patterns beyond traditional interfaces.

Our Role

  • Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
  • Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
  • Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
  • Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech stack and hardware to do your best work.
  • Support your mental and physical health. We care about our employees’ wellbeing. Our Employee Assistance Program, employee resource groups and fitness partner Peerfit have you covered.
  • Cover your medical insurance. We have multiple plans to pick from to ensure you’ll have the coverage you (and your dependents) want, including vision, dental, fertility healthcare and family forming benefits.
  • Contribute to your 401(K). Yep, that’s free money. We’ll match up to 4% of your own contribution.

Inclusion at Hudl

Hudl is an equal opportunity employer. Through our actions, behaviors and attitude, we’ll create an environment where everyone, no matter their differences, feels like they belong.

We offer resources to ensure our employees feel safe bringing their authentic selves to work, including employee resource groups and communities. But we recognize there’s ongoing work to be done, which is why we track our efforts and commitments in annual inclusion reports.

We also know imposter syndrome is real and the confidence gap can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates. Please don’t hesitate to apply—we’d love to hear from you.
