Procurement Finance Manager

About The Role

As Volta's Procurement Finance Manager, you'll own the sourcing, negotiation, and management of vendor relationships that keep the business running efficiently. You'll partner closely with Finance, Legal, IT, and other departments to ensure Volta gets the best value, terms, and service levels from every supplier, while building a procurement function that scales with the company.

This role suits someone who enjoys both the strategic side of procurement — building supplier strategy and negotiating major contracts — and the operational side, like managing purchase orders and vendor performance day to day.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement processes, from identifying vendor needs to negotiating contracts and finalizing agreements

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors, monitoring performance against agreed service levels

• Develop and implement procurement policies, processes, and approval workflows that balance speed with cost control

• Partner with Finance to manage procurement budgets, track spend, and identify cost-saving opportunities across categories

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors, working with Legal to ensure agreements protect Volta's interests

• Evaluate and onboard new vendors, coordinating due diligence with Legal and Compliance teams as needed

• Manage the procurement software or tools used to track purchase orders, approvals, and vendor records

• Provide regular reporting on procurement activity, savings, and vendor performance to leadership

• Identify opportunities to consolidate suppliers or renegotiate existing contracts for better value

• Stay current on market trends and supplier options relevant to Volta's evolving needs

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or vendor/supplier management, ideally in a fast-growing or global organization

• Proven track record of negotiating contracts and driving measurable cost savings

• Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract terms, and vendor risk management

• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to manage supplier relationships at all levels

• Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with spend data and building business cases for procurement decisions

• Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders

• Familiarity with procurement or spend management software

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple vendor relationships and projects simultaneously
