What You'll Be Doing

As a Development Sports/Multi-Sports Coach (Focus on Tennis and Football) you will help children and young people develop a positive attitude towards sport and make physical activity part of their everyday lives. Acting as a positive role model, you will inspire and motivate children aged 3 to 12, creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment where they can build their confidence, skills and performance.

You will plan and lead recreational and squad coaching sessions tailored to the needs of different groups. Based mainly at Talacre Community Sports Centre, you will maintain accurate participant records, ensure venues and equipment are used safely, and work with schools, community organisations and other partners to deliver high-quality activities. You may also supervise junior coaches and volunteers and contribute to wider activities across Camden’s Sport and Physical Activity Team.

All About You

to be successful in this role, you will hold a minimum Level 2 National Governing Body coaching qualification, or an equivalent relevant qualification, and be committed to continuing your professional development. You will have experience of coaching children and young people in at least one key sport, including football or multi-sport activities.

You will be an enthusiastic and positive role model with strong communication, organisational and time-management skills. Comfortable working with children, parents, teachers, colleagues and community partners, you will maintain high professional standards and accurate records. You will also be able to travel independently to sessions, matches and meetings when required.
