We are seeking a passionate Tutor to help students build skills and confidence in maths, English and science. In this paid role, you will deliver engaging, personalised lessons for learners across different age groups and ability levels. You will help students strengthen their understanding, overcome challenges and make steady academic progress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one and small-group tutoring in maths, English and science.
• Assess each student’s strengths and areas for improvement, then create tailored learning plans.
• Explain concepts clearly and adapt activities to each student’s needs and pace.
• Help students develop problem-solving, reading, writing and scientific reasoning skills.
• Track progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents or guardians.
• Create a positive learning environment that encourages participation and builds confidence.
• Work with parents, teachers and school staff to support students’ goals.

Skills and experience

• Experience tutoring or teaching maths, English and science across relevant age groups.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain ideas in accessible ways.
• Excellent communication, patience and enthusiasm for helping students learn.
• Experience working with children and adapting lessons for different abilities and learning needs.
• Familiarity with curriculum requirements and strategies for supporting students with special educational needs.
