We are a values-driven organisation with a strong focus on innovation, authenticity, inspiration and relationships, creating meaningful impact for our learners, clients, colleagues and partners.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to lead and grow our marketing function during an exciting period of organisational growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can set a clear marketing direction and personally help turn that direction into effective activity. Starting as a standalone role, you will grow a team while remaining closely involved in planning, creating, launching and improving campaigns across the full marketing mix.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering a marketing strategy that generates qualified employer leads, strengthens our brand and supports measurable commercial growth. This will require more than overseeing activity: you will bring structure to competing priorities, develop creative and practical ideas, and ensure campaigns move successfully from concept through to delivery, measurement and improvement.

Working closely with colleagues across Commercial, Digital, Curriculum and Design, you will help connect marketing activity with sales priorities, customer needs and organisational objectives. You will use data, insight and feedback to understand what is working, improve lead quality and make informed decisions about where the team should focus its time and budget.

This opportunity would suit a confident and resourceful marketing leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and wants to make a visible impact within a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a marketing strategy aligned to organisational growth objectives
  • Define and monitor marketing KPIs, using data and insight to optimise performance
  • Identify opportunities to grow and manage a small marketing team, fostering collaboration, accountability and innovation
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen brand visibility, market position and customer engagement
  • Champion the KnowledgeBrief brand across all communications and touchpoints
  • Work closely with Commercial, Digital, Curriculum and Design teams to maximise marketing impact
  • Oversee content, digital marketing, website activity and campaign delivery across multiple channels
  • Lead multichannel campaigns that drive lead generation, engagement and brand awareness

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of developing marketing strategies and translating them into successful, hands-on campaign delivery
  • Experience taking campaigns from initial concept through to launch, measurement, optimisation and evaluation
  • Broad digital marketing experience across channels such as email, content, social media, SEO, SEM, PPC, websites, CRM and marketing automation
  • Experience working closely with sales or commercial teams to improve lead quality, campaign follow-up, conversion and pipeline contribution
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present recommendations clearly and persuasively
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and making effective decisions about resources and investment
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to bring structure and focus to multiple priorities
  • The creativity and commercial judgement to test new ideas and turn innovation into practical, measurable marketing activity
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to define meaningful KPIs, interpret performance data and make evidence-based decisions
  • Experience managing and developing a small marketing team, including setting direction, prioritising workloads and maintaining accountability
  • Strong experience in B2B lead generation and multichannel marketing, with evidence of measurable commercial outcomes

Desirable

  • Experience within apprenticeships, training, education, learning technology, or professional services sectors
  • An understanding of complex B2B buying journeys, funded training or regulated markets
  • Experience using marketing automation and CRM platforms
  • Experience working within a growing or scaling organisation
  • Qualification in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Marketing or a similar professional body
