Role Overview
The Managing Director will set and drive the strategic direction behind the agency’s content and advisory work, ensuring it delivers commercial success, repeat engagement and long‑term client partnerships. You will bring a blend of strategic intelligence, commercial sharpness and cultural leadership — redefining approaches, elevating thinking and inspiring teams across the business.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Commercial Leadership
- Shape and lead the strategy behind content, advisory and communications work across a diverse client portfolio.
- Deliver a repeat‑seeking client experience that drives strong financial returns and long‑term relationships.
- Lead new business and marketing activity, identifying opportunities to grow revenue, expand capabilities and strengthen the agency’s market position.
- Develop new approaches, challenge existing ones and ensure the agency remains ahead of industry expectations.
Operational & People Leadership
- Assess the skills and strengths of existing teams, identifying development opportunities and capability gaps.
- Build a thriving, high‑performance culture characterised by ambition, collaboration and commercial focus.
- Over time, take on broader management responsibilities aligned to your strengths and the evolving needs of the business.
- Contribute to operational decision‑making, ensuring the agency is structured for sustainable growth.
Client & Sector Expertise
Candidates will ideally bring experience across one or more of the following sectors: Annual Reporting, Investor Communications, Employee Communications, Corporate Branding, Broadcasting Communications.
Candidate Profile
- 2–3+ years’ experience leading a mid‑size agency, or a more seasoned leader with extensive senior‑level experience.
- Proven ability to drive commercial growth, shape strategic content work and build strong client relationships.
- A proactive, energetic, “fire in the belly” leadership style that inspires teams and accelerates business performance.
- Strong strategic instincts, with the ability to take an overview of complex projects and guide teams toward clarity, quality and commercial impact.
