Job Overview:

Novatus partners with leading asset managers, banks, and insurers to deliver pragmatic, value-driven data and AI strategies that improve decision-making and drive commercial impact.

We are seeking a highly capable Manager to support the delivery of strategic transformation initiatives within our Financial Services clients, with a particular focus on data and AI-driven change. Working closely with other Managers and Directors, you will help shape, deliver, and embed solutions that enable clients to better harness data and AI for improved decision-making, operational efficiency, and innovation.

This role is ideal for someone with broad management consulting experience in financial services, covering areas such as data and business analysis, who also brings an emerging specialism or strong interest in data and AI. You will combine structured consulting skills with analytical thinking and an appreciation for how data, AI, and technology can drive business value.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the delivery of data and AI transformation projects across financial services, from strategy through to implementation.
  • Lead clients in identifying and prioritising Data & AI use cases, building business cases and defining measurable value outcomes.
  • Design and implement target operating models, governance frameworks and responsible AI controls to support effective and compliant adoption.
  • Assess data quality, architecture, and governance foundations to determine what clients need in place before data and AI initiatives can scale.
  • Work with technical teams to help translate business requirements into data and technology solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with business development teams on developing proposals, presentations, and client materials that communicate insights, recommendations, and value propositions.
  • Track emerging data and AI capabilities, including generative AI, and translate them into practical applications for financial services clients.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, supporting high-quality delivery and continuous learning.
  • Support change management and adoption planning so that new data and AI capabilities become embedded in client ways of working, rather than one-off projects.

About You:

Essential Requirements:

  • Significant consulting or industry experience delivering Data & AI, digital or business transformation initiatives within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of business strategy, operating models, and transformation delivery, including how change is embedded and adopted within client teams.
  • Solid understanding of data strategy, data governance, analytics-driven change, or AI adoption.
  • Experience delivering data platform modernisation or migration programmes involving Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or Google BigQuery.
  • Strong awareness of AI governance and responsible AI principles relevant to regulated financial services, or strong interest in developing this.
  • Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, analytical, and comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Enthusiastic about expanding your expertise in data strategy, analytics, and AI, including generative AI, and applying these capabilities to solve real-world financial services challenges.

Nice to have :

  • Hands-on experience using data tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau to extract insights and support decision-making.
  • Exposure to AI or generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, OpenAI, LangChain, Azure AI Studio) to prototype or support the delivery of client use cases.
  • Experience contributing to business development activities, proposition development, proposals and client pitches.
