Litigation Paralegal

About the Role

The Legal Services team at Guinness is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to manage a caseload of standard litigation matters while providing support to the Litigation Lawyers on more complex cases. The role will primarily focus on housing disrepair claims and matters arising under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months, working 35 hours per week and based at our London office. Guinness operates a hybrid working model, providing a flexible balance between office-based and home-based working.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with experience in supporting or handling litigation matters. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly, accurately, and professionally. Strong attention to detail, sound organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines are essential.

You will be confident building effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders and possess strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Experience of managing or supporting litigation matters.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present information to a high standard.
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with a methodical approach and excellent attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work effectively to deadlines and performance targets.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience working within a housing association, local authority, or other public sector organisation.

Essential Qualifications

• Law Degree, Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), Legal Practice Course (LPC), CILEX Level 3 (Associate), or an equivalent legal qualification.
