The Role
As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our kitchens during a busy programme of concerts, sporting events, conferences, exhibitions and live entertainment. Working as part of a fast-paced catering team, you will help maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene while supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver outstanding food experiences to our guests.
The Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, crockery and glassware.
- Ensure all kitchen and food preparation areas remain clean, organised and compliant with hygiene and food safety standards.
- Complete thorough kitchen clean-down procedures following service to ensure the kitchen is ready for future operations.
- Support chefs and kitchen teams with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties as required.
- Operate dishwashing equipment safely and effectively, ensuring all kitchen equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly.

- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn within a busy kitchen environment.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- A strong team player who can follow instructions, support colleagues and work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff.
- An understanding of basic health, safety and hygiene practices within a kitchen environment.
- Previous experience in a kitchen, catering or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
