Junior Ops associate UK

KeyNest

LondonOn-siteFull Time0-2 years
Posted 1 week ago

Who we are

KeyNest is an award-winning travel-tech company (~60 people, offices in London and Paris, most of us remote). We're best known for our Airbnb key-holding service: a network of local shops and smart lockers where hosts and property managers store keys so guests, cleaners and contractors can collect them 24/7. We operate across +15 countries and have checked in over 2,000,000 guests.

The role

Based full-time in our London office (SW8 5EL) and reporting to the Operations Manager UK, you're the hands-on engine of our UK operations. This role has two equally important sides and we need you strong on both from day one: keeping our physical locker network running and growing, and support our daily operations. No two days look the same!

Tasks

On the ground, technical & field work

  • Assemble and set up lockers in the office and diagnose hardware faults (locks, screens, connectivity, power)
  • Install, service and repair KeyNest lockers on-site, travelling across London by public transport (expensed) to wherever a locker needs fixing, often at short notice
  • Handle, lift and transport locker units and stock: this is a physically demanding role (units weigh ~35kg, moved as a two-person lift; ~24kg handled solo during installs)
  • Own supplies and logistics end to end: track inventory, coordinate and make sure daily shipments go out on time

Growing the network, partner-facing & supplies

  • Scout and sign up new shops as KeyNest Points, in person across London
  • Be the first point of contact for partner stores: handle routine conversations and negotiations, resolve day-to-day friction, and escalate complex deals to the Operations Manager UK
  • Support national partner accounts, respond to requests and send tracking files
  • Give day-to-day technical support to our remote support team on issues they escalate to you
  • Manage day-to-day supplies to all our network of stores, with or without a locker.

Requirements

Who we're looking for

You need to be good with your hands and good with people, this role won't suit someone who's only one or the other.

  • Practical and technically confident: comfortable with tools, assembling and repairing hardware, and physical work including regular lifting (~24–35kg)
  • Outgoing and persuasive: at ease walking into a shop, building rapport with owners and closing a partnership
  • Highly organised and reliable: able to run field work, logistics and partner admin without dropping any of them
  • Calm and adaptable when the day changes at short notice
  • Native-level English essential; a second language is a plus
  • Comfortable travelling across London daily on public transport; a driving licence is a plus
  • Right to work in the UK

This is a Full-time, permanent, Monday–Friday 9:00–18:00 (1h break)

Benefits

What we offer

  • Office- and field-based in central London (SW8 5EL), this is not a remote role
  • A varied, high-impact role working closely with the Operations Manager UK, Global Head of Operations, the Country Manager UK and the founders
  • Daily collaboration with an international team
