Junior Merchandiser - International

This dynamic role supports planning, forecasting, and in‑season trading activity that drives sales and optimises stock performance across every channel. Ownership of key planning tools and data insights helps identify risks, unlock opportunities, and influence cross‑functional partners. The Junior Merchandiser champions efficient ways of working, strengthens capacity planning, and contributes to best‑in‑class merchandising practices, while role‑modelling collaborative behaviours and guiding junior team members to ensure seamless delivery of the commercial plan.
This role is perfect role for someone who excels in analysing complex data, forecasting demand, and turning insight into clear commercial actions. Advanced in merchandising systems such as Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP), Weekly Stock, Sales and Intake (WSSI), Open to Buy (OTB), and reporting dashboards, they use retail KPIs to optimise sales, protect margin, and support in‑season trading. With strong cross‑functional collaboration and confident communication, to influence decisions, drive aligned outcomes, and keep the critical path on track!
NB This is a full-time role and is based at our Paddington Support Office a minimum of three days a week
What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Maintain and continuously re‑forecast the WSSI using channel‑led metrics, ensuring visibility of performance across all channels and identifying clear risks and opportunities, under the guidance of the Merchandiser
- Manage the Business Unit (BU) /department retail sales budget, using MFP and other planning tools to generate an OTB that you own and are accountable for delivering in line with the commercial plan
- Analyse forward seasonal buys, working closely with partnership teams to challenge and influence channels with the Merchandiser to optimise trade and maximise sales
- Drive the weekly trade with consistency and discipline, using data‑driven insights to identify risks, highlight opportunities, and recommend required actions
- Champion efficient ways of working, supporting process consistency across merchandising teams and guiding Assistant Merchandisers where needed
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include:
- Advanced numerical and analytical capability, with the ability to interpret complex datasets, forecast demand, evaluate trading performance, and translate insights into clear commercial actions.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills, building productive relationships with channel teams, Buying, and FH&B partners to influence decisions and drive aligned commercial outcomes.
- Clear, confident, and persuasive communication style, able to present insights, recommend actions, and motivate others while adapting messaging to different audiences.
- Proficient use of merchandising and planning systems, confidently navigating tools such as MFP, WSSI, OTB, and reporting dashboards to support accurate planning and in‑season management.
- Robust understanding of key retail Key Performance Metrics (KPI’s) (e.g., sell‑through, intake, terminal stock, margin, rate of sale) and the ability to use these metrics to optimise sales, protect profit, and shape future seasonal planning within the BU
