About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised, analytical and commercially curious intern to support our investment pipeline and strategic research activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in private equity, corporate finance, M&A or investment strategy to gain hands-on experience working across live investment opportunities.
The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining investment processes, conducting market research and preparing materials that directly support investment decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline & Opportunity Management
- Maintain and update the live investment pipeline tracker.
- Track the status of opportunities, valuations, key risks and agreed next actions.
- Ensure investment data is accurate, organised and up to date.
Investment Research
- Conduct first-pass desk research on new investment opportunities.
- Analyse company financial performance, ownership structures and business models.
- Assess competitive positioning and identify relevant industry trends.
- Monitor recent company and sector news.
Meeting Support
- Attend key investment and stakeholder meetings where appropriate, or work from meeting debriefs.
- Produce concise, structured meeting summaries and action logs.
- Capture key investment themes and insights for future reference.
Presentation & Stakeholder Materials
- Prepare first drafts of presentations and briefing papers for internal discussions.
- Organise information into clear, decision-ready formats.
- Support ad hoc strategic analysis as required.
Market & Sector Analysis
- Produce competitive landscape and sector briefings.
- Research market dynamics, industry trends and comparable businesses.
- Support wider strategic and commercial projects on an ad hoc basis.
Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Comfortable working with Excel, PowerPoint and online research tools.
- An excellent written communicator, able to summarise complex information clearly.
- Commercially curious with a genuine interest in investing, M&A, private equity or corporate strategy.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
Desirable Experience
- Studying (or recently graduated in) Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous internship or project experience involving financial analysis, consulting, research or investment.
- Familiarity with company financial statements and basic valuation concepts is advantageous, but not essential.
