About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Housing Officer to join our Resident Services Team.

In this key role, you will deliver a high-quality housing management service across a defined patch. You will be responsible for managing tenancies, supporting residents to sustain their homes, and ensuring compliance with tenancy conditions.

You will act as the lead officer for your area, working closely with residents, internal teams, and external partners to resolve issues and maintain safe, well-managed communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of tenancy and leasehold matters across your patch
  • Deliver effective tenancy management, including tenancy sustainment, and enforcement
  • Investigate and manage anti-social behaviour (ASB) and nuisance cases
  • Carry out estate inspections and property visits, identifying issues and taking action
  • Take enforcement action where required, including serving notices and preparing court cases
  • Identify and support vulnerable residents, including safeguarding referrals
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments and external agencies to resolve complex cases
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

What We Are Looking For

  • Essential:
  • Previous experience in housing management and tenancy management
  • Knowledge of housing legislation and best practice
  • Experience managing ASB and tenancy enforcement cases
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently across a designated patch
  • Experience working in a local authority or social housing setting
  • Understanding of safeguarding, welfare support, and multi-agency working
  • You will be required to work in an office 5 days per week (this is not a remote working position).

You must be able to evidence the following in your application:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience of working in social housing or equivalent transferrable skills
  • A keen interest in and knowledge of the social housing sector
  • A high performer, with a proven track record of success & ASB and tenancy management experience / knowledge.
  • Knowledge of tenancy and leasehold management
  • Must have a full UK driving license and a vehicle to use for work.
  • A degree or housing qualification, such as CIH, is preferable, but not essential. "
