Head of Business Operations
Flint Global
The role
Flint is seeking a Head of Business Operations to own the firm’s internal operational functions and drive the continuous improvement of its processes, infrastructure, and governance. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a senior, hands-on role with responsibility for facilities and office management, company secretarial and procurement matters, insurance, trademarks, ESG measures and reporting, and M&A integration activities.
The postholder will manage and develop Flint’s international office management team, providing line management to the firm’s Office Managers across its global locations. They will be a trusted partner to the COO, bringing the rigour, judgement, and operational capability required to run a complex, multi-jurisdictional business with high standards and a commitment to continuous improvement.
The firm has grown significantly across its London, European, and Asia-Pacific offices, and the internal operational infrastructure that supports this network must now be professionalised and strengthened. At the same time, Flint is executing on an active M&A agenda, which brings additional integration demands that require dedicated senior operational leadership.
This is a newly created role, designed to give the firm’s internal operations the focused ownership and improvement focus they require. The postholder will have the opportunity to shape how this function operates — building processes and governance frameworks that are fit for a growing, internationally active advisory firm.
Key responsibilities
Facilities and Office Management
- Provide line management to Flint’s Office Managers across its global locations, setting clear objectives, maintaining consistent standards, and supporting their professional development
- Oversee Flint’s global office portfolio, ensuring all locations operate to a consistent standard in terms of environment, health and safety, and facilities management
- Lead property selection processes and manage landlord contracting, negotiations, ongoing lease management, and renewals
- Manage facilities budgets across the office network, ensuring cost discipline and value for money
- Lead office expansions, relocations, or fit-outs as required by Flint’s growth plans
Company Secretariat and Internal Procurement
- Manage UK Companies House filings, UK entity support, and books management, ensuring statutory compliance across Flint’s UK legal entities
- Support the set-up of new legal entities as required by Flint’s expansion into new markets
- Oversee approvals and management for Flint’s own procurement activities, including lease management for equipment and services (e.g. printers, office equipment)
- Manage HK and Singapore bank approvals and provide support to local operational matters as required
Insurance (Non-HR)
- Manage Flint’s non-HR insurance portfolio, including professional indemnity, property and contents, and other relevant commercial policies
- Own the broker relationship, conducting regular reviews to ensure Flint’s coverage remains appropriate, competitively priced, and aligned to the firm’s risk profile
- Manage renewal processes across all policies, coordinating with relevant internal stakeholders to provide accurate and timely information to insurers
- Maintain oversight of any additional local insurance requirements across Flint’s international offices, ensuring adequate coverage in all jurisdictions
Trademarks
- Manage Flint’s trademark portfolio, maintaining an up-to-date register of all registered and pending marks across relevant jurisdictions
- Liaise with external lawyers on trademark matters, including the registration of new marks (e.g. in the US and Australia) and the management of any disputes or challenges
- Monitor for potential infringements and coordinate with legal advisers to take appropriate protective action where necessary
- Ensure trademark renewals are managed proactively and that the firm’s intellectual property is appropriately protected as it enters new markets
ESG Measures and Reporting
- Own Flint’s ESG measurement and reporting framework, ensuring that the firm’s standards, practices, and disclosures meet its commitments and stakeholder expectations
- Lead Flint’s ESG reporting obligations, including Cinven ESG reporting and any other investor or regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain the data infrastructure required to track Flint’s ESG metrics consistently across its global offices
- Work with senior leadership to identify opportunities to strengthen Flint’s ESG performance, and to embed ESG considerations into operational decision-making
- Monitor developments in ESG reporting standards and regulation, ensuring Flint remains ahead of its obligations
Internal Queries and Operational Support
- Act as a point of escalation for firm-wide operational queries and approvals, including office costs, ad hoc expenditure, and miscellaneous internal matters
- Drive continuous improvement across Flint’s internal operational processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains
- Support the COO on ad hoc operational and strategic projects as required
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned operations professional with experience across a broad range of internal business functions in a professional services or similarly complex environment. They will combine strong organisational and governance instincts with the leadership capability to manage an international team and drive meaningful improvements across the firm’s operational infrastructure.

- International operations: Experience supporting operational functions across multiple geographies, with an understanding of the complexity this introduces across entity management, procurement, and compliance.
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of company secretarial requirements and statutory compliance obligations for UK entities
- Familiarity with trademark registration and management processes, ideally across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience with ESG data collection and reporting, including familiarity with common reporting frameworks
- Competent in operational budgeting and cost management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable working with document management and workflow tools
Personal Qualities
- Ownership mentality: takes personal accountability for the quality and reliability of internal operations
- Structured and detail-oriented: brings rigour and consistency to governance, records management, and compliance
- Collaborative leader: able to manage and develop a geographically dispersed team while working effectively across the broader firm
- Commercially minded: understands how operational decisions affect Flint’s cost base, risk profile, and reputation
- Calm and decisive under pressure: able to manage competing priorities and make sound judgements in a fast-moving environment
Qualifications
A degree-level qualification is expected. A professional qualification in business administration, operations, company secretarial practice, or a related field (e.g. ICSA/CGI, MBA, or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential where experience is demonstrably strong.
