Opportunity

The finance team provides monthly financial reporting and analysis to a global, fast-paced professional services business. The London team co-ordinates and consolidates the global accounting setup and offers operational and technical support to our international offices on a regular basis. We also provide a range of financial analysis, client reporting and much more to our key internal stakeholders both in London and around the globe.

Global finance is led by Andrew Fenwick, CFO and Vice-Chairman of Brunswick; the Group Accounting and Reporting function is led by Matthew Soden, Group Financial Controller and the Group FP&A function is led by Matt Field, Group FP&A Manager; this role will work most closely with and report to Matt Field but will have important interaction with finance and non-finance colleagues across the globe.

The demands being placed on the finance team are growing both in terms of volume and complexity, requiring a team that is committed, flexible and hands-on whilst maintaining the highest standards of professional delivery.

About the Role

The Group FP&A Reporting Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring that our Group Reporting and Business Intelligence is delivered in a consistent and timely manner, be that on weekly revenue reporting, monthly Regional, Sector and Practice Group reporting and producing insightful analysis for finance colleagues and Client Handler teams.

Maintenance of Power BI dashboards and production of regular reporting

  • Responsibility for maintaining Power BI dashboards, working with the infrastructure team to ensure consistency
  • Responsibility for maintaining the Group email inbox fielding queries from the business and allocating queries to the team where appropriate
  • Produce monthly reports from Power BI ensuring accuracy of data, working with the regional finance teams to add insightful commentary
  • Prepare the weekly Revenue Generation report and analysis of movements, distributed to CFO and coordinate consistent regional reporting
  • Support production of monthly reporting to leadership

Analysis and Insight

  • Prepare and review headcount reporting
  • Review mandate economics (timesheet recording, utilisation, recovery) and provide insightful analysis to finance teams across the Group
  • Compile and review overhead and cost centre reporting, identifying areas of opportunity
  • Assist Group FP&A Manager with ad-hoc analysis where required
  • Assistance in business modelling and scenario planning

What We’re Looking For

  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in FP&A, Management Accounting or similar analytical finance role
  • Proficient in Financial reporting and Data systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics and PowerBI)
  • Good IT literacy skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Strong organisation skills with close attention to detail
  • Highly professional, with a strong client-service attitude
  • Pro-active with a can-do attitude and willing to offer support readily
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to deal with conflicting priorities well
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • An appreciation of confidentiality
