Technology is transforming the legal industry.

Artificial intelligence, automation, data analytics and digital solutions are changing the way legal services are delivered, creating exciting new career opportunities for graduates who are curious, innovative and passionate about solving problems.

At Eversheds Sutherland, our Legal Technology Graduate Scheme offers a unique opportunity to build a career at the intersection of law, technology and innovation. Over 21 months, you'll work alongside lawyers, technologists and business professionals to develop and implement technology solutions that help global organisations solve complex challenges.

This is not a traditional graduate scheme. It's an opportunity to help shape the future of legal services while building highly sought-after skills in technology, AI, project delivery, innovation and stakeholder management. You'll gain real responsibility from day one, work on meaningful projects and develop the expertise needed to succeed in one of the fastest-growing areas of the legal sector.

About the Programme

The Legal Technology Graduate Scheme is an accelerated 21-month programme designed to provide a broad and varied foundation in legal technology. The programme is available in both Birmingham and London, with starting salaries of £30,000 in Birmingham and £38,000 in London, increasing to £33,000 and £41,000 respectively during the second year.

During the programme, you'll gain hands-on experience across both our central Technology Products team and our embedded Practice Group Legal Technology teams, developing a unique blend of technical, commercial and legal technology expertise.

Months 1-9: Technology Products Team

You'll develop a strong understanding of the firm's legal technology estate, product delivery approaches and innovation strategy. You'll combine structured learning with real project work, helping to shape, deliver and improve technology products used across the business.

Months 10-21: Practice Group Legal Technology Teams

You'll apply that knowledge within our legal practice groups, working alongside lawyers and clients to improve legal processes, deploy technology solutions and support digital transformation across a range of practice areas.

This scheme offers an alternative route into the legal sector and an opportunity to build a career in one of the most exciting and rapidly evolving areas of professional services. This programme is designed for graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in Legal Technology. It is not a solicitor training programme and does not form part of a route to legal qualification. Graduates who join the scheme will develop specialist expertise in technology-enabled legal services, innovation, automation and artificial intelligence.
