About Us
JD Healthcare Group is one of the UK's leading fertility and reproductive healthcare providers, operating brands including London Women's Clinic, London Egg Bank, London Sperm Bank, KindIVF, Surrey Park Women's Clinic and Elective Egg Freezing across the United Kingdom. Since 1985, we have been supporting individuals and families through some of the most significant journeys of their lives — combining world-class clinical expertise with genuine human care. Everything we do is driven by a shared purpose: helping people build the families they dream of.
About the Role
As a Genomic Associate at JD Healthcare, you will join our expanding Clinical Genetics Services team — based at London Women's Clinic and working collaboratively across London Egg Bank and London Sperm Bank. This is a full-time, patient-facing role that blends clinical and administrative responsibilities, offering genuine hands-on exposure to reproductive genetics, carrier screening and preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). You will work closely with Consultant Genetic Counsellors, fertility specialists, embryologists and PGT and carrier screening laboratories across the UK and US — supporting individuals and couples throughout some of the most significant moments of their lives. This role is an ideal stepping stone for anyone looking to build a career in genetic counselling or clinical genomics, offering invaluable experience, a strong professional network and the chance to make a real difference in a highly specialised and fast-moving field.
What You Will Do
- Guide patients through consent processes and testing requirements for PGT-A, PGT-M, PGT-SR and carrier screening, ensuring accurate genetic information is communicated throughout
- Respond to NHS hospitals and healthcare providers with donor screening results and liaise with NHS fetal medicine and antenatal teams to share PGT and donor genetic carrier screening reports as required
- Monitor and update carrier screening portals for London Egg Bank and London Sperm Bank, and review variant pathogenicity under senior supervision
- Communicate inheritance patterns of autosomal recessive conditions to patients following training, and refer to genetic counselling as needed
- Coordinate carrier matching and facilitate test report collection for PGT services, maintaining updated records and tracking systems for all test requests
- Manage telephone and written communications with patients and healthcare professionals promptly and professionally, drafting clinical correspondence and distributing reports on receipt
- Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets and clinical records using internal systems including IDEAS and EngagedMD, and coordinate virtual appointments for genetic consultations
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times, recognising the highly sensitive nature of genetic information, and escalate clinical concerns to senior colleagues appropriately
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team — contributing to a culture of support, learning and continual improvement
