As a General Assistant (Cleaner), you'll play a vital role in creating that experience. From maintaining immaculate gym floors and changing facilities to supporting the overall presentation of the club, your work will help ensure every member enjoys a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

This is a 20-hour-per-week position, ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, has great attention to detail and enjoys being part of a team that delivers high standards every day.

Job Description

The Role

As a General Assistant (Cleaner), you'll help maintain exceptional standards across all areas of the club, ensuring members always enjoy a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain all gym areas, including fitness spaces, studios, changing rooms, showers and communal areas
  • Ensure gym equipment, touchpoints and surfaces are sanitised and presented to the highest standard
  • Complete scheduled cleaning tasks and daily compliance checks
  • Empty bins and manage waste disposal procedures
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and report stock requirements
  • Report maintenance issues and health and safety concerns promptly
  • Support the wider club team in delivering an exceptional member experience
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and safety at all times

Your attention to detail will directly contribute to member satisfaction, club standards and the reputation of the Everlast Gyms brand.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable, organised and able to work independently
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends

Desirable

  • Previous cleaning, housekeeping or facilities experience
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards and safe chemical handling
  • Experience working within leisure, hospitality, retail or commercial environments

Full training will be provided..
