About the role

Jacobi is looking for an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer to join its team in the UK. In this role, you will be responsible for helping build and evolve Jacobi’s platform, developing robust, scalable systems and services. Your work will strengthen both our core platform and the capabilities that enable clients to develop and operate bespoke investment workflows.

You will join a collaborative, globally distributed engineering team at a fast-growing fintech serving the investment management industry. You will have meaningful ownership of your work, contribute to technical and architectural decisions, and collaborate with colleagues across engineering, product, quantitative development and client delivery.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline
  • 4+ years of experience developing production software
  • Extensive experience developing robust, scalable production systems and services in Java
  • Strong SQL and relational database skills, including data modelling, query design and performance troubleshooting
  • Experience designing, testing and maintaining reliable software throughout the SDLC
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure and containerised deployment environments
  • Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and software quality, with the judgement to review and validate generated code
  • Ability to diagnose complex technical problems and make pragmatic engineering decisions
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with peers, managers and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of agile development practices

Experience in the following will be highly regarded:

  • Experience providing technical leadership, shaping architecture and guiding engineering decisions
  • Strong React and TypeScript experience building complex, responsive web applications
  • Experience using Python to build or integrate with quantitative analytics services
  • Experience with infrastructure as code and container orchestration
