Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a world class partner strategy leader to join the EMEA Partner Specialist team to lead the partner strategy for Data — the database, analytics, and data services that form the foundation of the AI stack. As an EMEA Partner Lead, Data Foundations for AI, you will have an exciting opportunity to deliver on our strategy to accelerate adoption of the AWS data layer within partners of all types. You will help them identify and create data use cases and capabilities across the value chain — from getting data onto AWS and modernising it onto purpose-built engines, to unifying it in an Iceberg-native lakehouse, governing it for AI, and consuming it through AI-powered analytics — developing and executing go-to-market and enablement plans that lead to a healthy business pipeline, joint customer wins and market success.

Where a customer’s data lives determines where their AI runs. In this role, you will work with partners to help them establish AWS databases and analytics as the persistence and intelligence layer for every AI and agentic workload, building growth-oriented and strategically focused offerings that deliver on these customer and market expectations. In this endeavor, you will collaborate with a number of AWS internal teams including partner managers, solution architects, sales, BD, marketing, and solution teams to position and deliver these capabilities internally and to customers. The AWS Partner organization will look to you as the expert on the data domain, partner types, use cases, and how to drive AWS market success through partners. You will also act as a mentor to regional Data and Analytics experts, bringing your substantial experience in coaching and guiding the team into delivering customer and partner success.

Focus Areas

The EMEA Data Foundations for AI Partner Lead will focus on the following actions to address the data partner needs in the EMEA territory:

1. Identify industry-specific and horizontal data use cases and solution offerings across the six pillars — database migration and modernisation, Iceberg-native lakehouse, vector and agent-memory workloads, data governance, and AI-powered analytics — in the EMEA region;

2. Actively engage with mature and emerging Data & Analytics partners whose offerings align to these use cases (e.g. lakehouse and analytics ISVs such as ClickHouse, Snowflake, Neo4j and SAS positioning AWS-native alternatives against Databricks Unity Catalog and Snowflake-mediated Iceberg);

3. Identify and recruit horizontal or niche data partners we need in the ecosystem;

4. Lead enablement of our partner ecosystem (ISVs, SIs and GSIs) on native AWS data offerings including Amazon Aurora and Aurora DSQL, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3 Tables / Iceberg REST, AWS Lake Formation, and AWS Glue, and drive attainment of the new AWS Data Competency (launching at Partner Equip London, Sep–Oct 2026);

5. Enablement of the ASP organization on AWS and technology-partner data services and solutions. Success will be measured by # net new “must win” partners building Data Foundations for AI practices, # partner practitioners enabled on Data in EMEA (via PDM/PSA or PDS), # partners solutions launched, # customer references / case studies , # thought leadership (tech content, public speaking), # AO + PO Launched $ARR.

Role could be based in other EMEA AWS offices.
