Finder is seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Editor. You will be the editorial driving force behind our banking vertical and mission to demystify personal finance. This is a unique opportunity to help everyday consumers make smarter financial decisions by producing the most relevant, authoritative, and engaging content in the UK market.

You will drive editorial quality, topic relevance, and reader engagement across fintech, current accounts, savings, business and children's banking, while occasionally overseeing mortgages, credit, and insurance. This role focuses on building and improving comprehensive reviews, guides, and "best" lists. You will be a fierce advocate for expertise, authority, and trust, ensuring all content exceeds competitor standards and digital best practices.

Positioned at the intersection of fintech and digital media, you will reinforce accuracy and consistency to drive traffic and brand visibility. Your goal is to cement Finder as the go-to resource for financial clarity.

Crucially, you will act as our primary financial expert, building a powerful personal brand to become a sought-after voice for journalists and a relied-upon source for authoritative commentary on the UK banking and fintech sector.

You will collaborate with leading financial brands to develop high-impact, award-winning branded content and strategic partnerships. Our track record includes successful engagements with major industry players such as Monzo, Revolut, HSBC, Natwest, Amex, Robinhood, Tide, GoHenry, and eToro.

Core Responsibilities

  • Build Authority: Craft high-converting reviews, expert guides, and "best of" lists while owning the integrity of Finder Scores and our prestigious Finder Awards.

  • Content Partnerships: Collaborate with leading financial providers and agencies to deliver award-winning, high-impact branded content.
  • Video & Socials: Work with our inhouse video crew to produce high-impact, expert-led video content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn to establish Finder as the authoritative voice in the market.
  • Editorial Excellence: Edit and improve articles to meet Finder’s style, voice, and tone, aiming to consistently exceed the quality of our competition. Audit and optimise older content to strengthen user intent and ensure our library remains fresh and accurate.
  • Ensure Compliance: Apply deep regulatory knowledge across the banking, credit, and mortgage categories to maintain content safety and integrity.
  • Writer Management: Manage, guide, and provide constructive feedback to freelance writers, fostering a culture of high performance and growth.

We want a collaborative team player with a bias for action and a passion for editorial precision. This role is open to senior writers ready for a deputy editor position or seasoned editors with a deep understanding of the personal finance landscape.

  • Education: Hold a bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, marketing or communications, or have commensurate experience in digital publishing.
  • Seasoned Editor or Aspiring Writer: Proven digital editorial experience with a clear path of progression. Whether you are an expert writer ready for your first deputy editor role or an experienced editor, we value your expertise.
  • Fintech and Personal Finance Passion: A deep, genuine passion for fintech and personal finance. You stay up to date with the latest industry trends, products, and news, and you are driven by a desire to help consumers make smarter, more confident financial decisions.
  • Sharp Researcher: Excellent critical thinking and research skills, with the ability to produce content on complex or unfamiliar financial topics with ease.
  • Meticulous: Keen attention to detail and high quality standards.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in the fast-paced fintech landscape by staying nimble. You can anticipate market shifts, embrace emerging industry trends, and pivot your editorial strategy to keep our content ahead of the curve.
