Director - PR - B2B Tech

VCCP Roar is a fully integrated PR and marketing agency, with deep specialisms in consumer, technology, corporate reputation and financial services. The agency brought together three specialist agencies with long heritage in their specialisms: Good Relations (consumer), Harvard (tech) and Teamspirit (financial services) into one fully integrated cross-sector business.

The Role

We are looking for an ambitious and driven Director who brings energy to everything they do.

This role will be part of the Tech SLT at Roar, acting as Client Relationship Lead across a range of exciting tech clients - including some brilliant new wins. This Director will be a confident leader who immerses themselves in their clients' businesses and industries to deliver value to the client and drive growth for the agency.

Alongside client focus and growth, the role will involve leading new business opportunities alongside the Founder and/or Executive Directors, including using your own network to help generate leads and connect us to the most exciting brands around.

This Director will be the operational engine and strategic engine for their client portfolio, supported by a full and hugely talented team. An astute people manager, this Director will be responsible for nurturing that talent and ensuring our people thrive.

About You

• Looking for an entry-level Director (would currently be an Associate Director at an agency or a recently-promoted Director looking for a new challenge)
• Must have a strong background working with Technology brands - can be b2b or b2c tech brands
• Must have some agency experience so you can come in and know how agency life runs
• Will be a very strong client lead with clear examples of where they have delivered outstanding work, grown a client revenue, sold-in campaigns or projects
• Must have a good knowledge of modern earned media - i.e. GEO and AI, traditional media relations, influencer and social media
• Must have strong new business and pitch experience - at this level, we wouldn’t expect you to lead a pitch fully, but we'd expect you to be self-sufficient in working on them to deliver great content and strong in the pitch room
• Must be confident they have good connections in tech and a hunger to drive new biz leads
• Strong understanding of commercials - with evidence that you have controlled account profitability and minimised over-servicing in accounts
• Must want to help us build something great at VCCP Roar - someone who wants to be involved in cultural initiatives, DE&I and helping us make the agency fun and vibrant
• In terms of character, we’re looking for someone with big energy and hunger - an active driver who wants to grow and develop into a senior leader
• The role will initially report into the Founder before transitioning to report into one of our Executive Directors. You would be on the Tech Senior Leadership team and be part of management across Roar
