The Director of Strategic Partnerships & Commercial Policy leads Derivia’s partnership, redistribution, and commercial governance strategy across the product suite, translating strategic relationships into scalable commercial outcomes and partnership-led revenue growth.

The role spans strategic alliances, data distribution and licensing, commercial frameworks, and ecosystem partnerships, and serves as a senior cross-functional bridge across Sales, Product, Legal, Policy, and Technology, while managing key external relationships that expand market access, strengthen the partner ecosystem, and accelerate growth.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships

  • Develop and execute partnership strategy across financial information vendors, redistribution partners, cloud providers, analytics platforms, fintech ecosystems, and other strategic allies.
  • Lead co-sell, co-build, and ecosystem expansion initiatives.
  • Identify partnership-led growth opportunities, revenue models, and key enablers.

Commercial Policy & Governance

  • Define commercial frameworks for redistribution rights, data licensing, enterprise usage, cloud deployment, derived data, and partner monetisation.
  • Ensure commercial consistency across regions and business units.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance on contracts, regulation, and data governance.
  • Set pricing and policy standards for strategic partnerships and govern exceptions or non-standard arrangements.

Ecosystem & Vendor Strategy

  • Manage key ecosystem and vendor relationships.
  • Assess strategic partner and vendor risk.
  • Work with Product and Technology to support interoperability and integration strategy.

Revenue & Growth Strategy

  • Own partnership enabled revenue growth as a core performance metric.
  • Design scalable channel, redistribution, and monetization models.
  • Support complex commercial negotiations with GBD and Solutions leadership.
  • Recommend operating models and incentives that enable durable commercial growth.

Internal Leadership

  • Influence senior stakeholders across Sales, Product, Strategy, Legal, Finance, Technology, and Risk.
  • Act as an escalation point for strategic commercial decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional governance forums and present partnership strategy to executive leadership.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience

Typically 12–20+ years’ experience in market data, financial information services, enterprise partnerships, commercial policy, or strategic alliances.

Relevant backgrounds may include market data providers, financial services, exchanges, enterprise SaaS, and cloud partnership environments.
