Everyone should have the opportunity to own a home. But the system is broken. House prices have grown faster than incomes for decades, and thousands of people have been locked out of homeownership and the opportunities it can bring.

We're on a mission to make the homebuying process to make it simple, transparent and fair.

The challenge is huge, and we're looking for mission-driven people who are passionate about delivering fantastic customer outcomes.

Working at Gen H means proactively embracing new challenges, working comfortably with deadlines and taking initiative. We value honesty and humility, and thrive in a humble, low-ego environment.

Harnessing innovative tech and the talent of our smart, ambitious team, we're building a fairer mortgage market. If you can help us move the dial, we want to hear from you.

Working at Gen H means embracing new challenges – we’re building a mortgage lender from scratch, and you’ll work directly with the CISO to keep our infrastructure running reliably and securely for our staff and customers.

You’ll support our software engineering team to keep our infrastructure up-to-date and CI/CD pipelines running efficiently so that we can get new features into the hands of our customers as soon as they’re ready.

Championing security best practices will level up the rest of the team’s skills, leading to better outcomes for our customers.

We’re not looking for someone with a big ego, but being responsible and saying “No” when security demands it will be important.

As a regulated financial institution we maintain a quality of work that meets ISO 27001 and NIST SSDF standards, and you’ll assist us during audits and recertification.

  • You’ve recently started along the path of DevOps engineering, and have at least 1-2 years of experience
  • You understand why containerisation is important, know your way around Docker, and prefer infrastructure as code
  • You’ve used a public cloud in the past, whether that’s GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Experience with Postgres or another relational database
  • Familiarity with languages like Ruby, Python, and Go are nice to have, but we like people who are willing to learn new things on the go

Bonus points if:

  • You play with Kali Linux or do HackTheBox for fun
  • You have or always wanted to do OSCP
  • You enjoy scanning your own WLAN with Nmap just because
  • You are a deeply cultured person who knows what “Arch btw” mean
