Delivery Manager (Education, UK&I)

Kanpla

SouthwarkRemoteFull Time2-5 years
Posted 3 days ago

We are looking for a talented Delivery Manager (Education) to join Kanpla and deliver world-class launches for our education customers across the UK and Ireland.

You will take implementations across all ages of education; from primary through to further education colleges and universities from contract signature to a confident go-live and a settled first term. It is a hands-on, individual contributor role: you are the person a school, college or catering team works with to get live, to get their staff trained properly, and to stay with them until service is running smoothly.

The role is remote and UK based. We have an office in London that you are welcome to use, and you should expect to travel to client sites across the UK and Ireland as needed, particularly around go-lives and term starts.

Ready for a journey with us

From its humble beginnings as a school project, Kanpla has rapidly grown into one of the industry's fastest-growing startups. With +700,000 users across more than 4,000 locations in 14 countries, we are one of Europe's leading solutions for contracted food service, working with the biggest names in catering and the most forward thinking companies and educational institutions in the market.

With +$10M raised, a strong European position and a team of 65+ rockstars, education is one of the fastest growing parts of our UK and Ireland business. This role sits right at the heart of that growth.

In the position you will:

  • Own the end to end implementation of education customers, from contract signature through setup, training, go-live and the first weeks of trading
  • Run every project to our delivery framework, using the stages, plans and checkpoints we already have so each launch is consistent, well governed and predictable
  • Be the customer's main point of contact through implementation and hypercare, working with catering managers, business managers, IT leads and operations teams at leading sector caterers and institutions
  • Plan around the academic calendar, working backwards from term dates, holidays and September starts so launches land when schools can actually absorb them
  • Set the platform up to match how each site really operates, and chase down the menus, price lists and student data that projects usually stall on
  • Deliver training that sticks for catering and admin staff who are not tech people and have twenty minutes between services
  • Own hypercare after every launch, on hand through the first services and the first busy weeks, spotting issues before the customer has to raise them
  • Hand over cleanly to our Success and Support teams, then feed what you learn back into the delivery framework so it keeps getting sharper for education

Who are we looking for?

As our new Delivery Manager (Education), you will bring a motivated mindset and a skillful set of competences.

We're looking for:

  • A high level of ownership, passion and willingness to go the extra mile
  • 3+ years in implementation or delivery of food-tech solutions, such as EPOS, cashless catering, pre-ordering or parent payment platforms. This is essential rather than a nice to have
  • A feel for how education catering actually works, or the appetite to learn it fast. Knowing the difference between a primary school lunch service and a university food court is a real advantage
  • A hands-on attitude. You are equally comfortable building a project plan and standing beside the catering team through first service on go-live day
  • Confidence training non-technical users, whether that is four kitchen staff around a laptop or a room full of people who have never used the system before
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving and analytical skills, with the discipline to run several launches in parallel without dropping detail
  • Based in the UK with full right to work, and happy to travel when a launch needs you on site

What we offer

  • A high-impact role in a fast-growing international company
  • An ambitious, fun and informal culture with a results-driven mindset
  • A product with real value, reducing food waste and improving dining for thousands of students and staff
  • An established delivery framework, proven at scale, so your energy goes on customers rather than inventing process, plus a real say in how it evolves for education
  • Genuine support for your professional growth in a fast-moving environment
  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Remote-first working, with the option to work from our office in London
  • 2 yearly off-sites / workcations in Europe
