Country Commercial Manager - Kazakhstan

Location: Cummins Inc. Karaganda, Karaganda Region, Kazakhstan (On-site)

Responsibilities

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Growing the business profitably through planning and directing the operations across Kazakhstan, with full P&L and asset utilization responsibility.
  • Collaborating with leaders and colleagues to develop and implement operating policies and procedures across multiple functions including customer service, finance, quality control, purchasing, materials management, and human resources.
  • Developing globally aligned strategic business plans and translating them into actionable short-term business goals for the region.
  • Anticipating, recognizing, and facilitating the resolution of cross-functional challenges that may impact organizational success.
  • Building and maintaining successful customer relationships, continuously improving customer satisfaction and understanding future customer needs - identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Recruiting, leading, and developing a high-functioning engaged team who will deliver future success.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Experience within a full operational leadership role, managing a wide range of departments from corporate through to sales and service.
  • Proven leadership skills with a coaching and developmental approach to nurture local talent and culture.
  • Experience within a complex product business working with a range of customers, ideally across the Oil, Gas and Mining sectors, knowledge of Cummins products would be beneficial.
  • The ability to balance big picture strategic goals and the local details to develop effective working practices, organizational structures and processes through continuous improvement.
  • Experience of working in a global organization with the ability to manage risk and compliance within a highly competitive marketplace.
  • Language skills, Russian speaking due to the regional operational requirements alongside business English.
