About The Role

As Volta's Compliance Officer, you'll help ensure our day-to-day operations align with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. You'll work closely with the Compliance Manager and cross-functional teams to monitor compliance activity, support audits, and help embed a strong compliance culture across the business.

This role is a great fit for someone who's detail-oriented, comfortable working across regulatory frameworks, and looking to grow their compliance career within a global organization.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Monitor day-to-day business activities and transactions to identify potential compliance issues or deviations from policy
  • Support the implementation and rollout of compliance policies, procedures, and training across the organization
  • Conduct or support internal compliance reviews and audits, documenting findings and tracking remediation
  • Help maintain compliance registers, trackers, and documentation to support regulatory reporting and audits
  • Assist with monitoring regulatory changes relevant to Volta's business and help assess their impact
  • Support investigations into potential compliance issues, working with relevant stakeholders to resolve them
  • Deliver or support training sessions to help employees understand their compliance obligations
  • Respond to internal queries on compliance policies and procedures in a clear and timely manner
  • Prepare regular compliance reports and metrics for review by the Compliance Manager and leadership

What You Bring

  • 2–4 years of experience in a compliance, risk, audit, or regulatory role, ideally within financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry
  • Solid understanding of compliance principles, regulatory frameworks, and internal control processes
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple compliance tasks and deadlines
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain compliance requirements clearly to non-specialists
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort working with compliance tracking tools and systems
  • A proactive, ethical approach, with sound judgment when escalating potential issues
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
  • Relevant compliance certification (e.g., ICA) is a plus but not required
