Commercial Strategy Analyst

We are now looking for a Commercial Strategy Analyst to support the development and execution of new initiatives under our transformation programme. The Commercial Strategy Analyst will be part of the Strategy function but work closely with transformation leadership to make data-led decisions, monitoring closely the impact of experiments and new initiatives on an ongoing basis.
About the role
- Support the transformation leadership team with strategic advice, helping them to develop and execute against their priorities
- Analyse and interpret large volumes of financial and audience data to draw conclusions and support decision making
- Support development of new high priority initiatives and business cases, deploying strategic frameworks and a broad range of analysis to understand the opportunity and strategic fit
- Develop data-driven presentations to guide senior business leaders and support robust decision-making
About you
- Proven experience in a commercially focussed role within a media business, or equivalent strategy or analytics experience
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to build financial and other models
- Ability to manage and challenge stakeholders
- Demonstrable knowledge of MS Excel and SQL

You'll have 30 days of annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) with the option to purchase an additional 5 days. Our pension scheme is generous; if you contribute 5% then we will contribute 8-12% (depending on your age). Guardian News and Media is proud to be a London Living wage employer. The minimum salary for any full-time role within the organisation is £30,000 per annum. Salary ranges are dependent on skills and experience.
