Commercial Finance Analyst – Supplier Funding

What you'll do

You will be responsible for providing accurate reporting, detailed analysis, and actionable insights to effectively manage Argos supplier funding. Your role will involve partnering with Buying and Finance teams to offer data-led insights that support decision-making and maximise supplier funding opportunities. You will support the regular reporting cycle, analyse supplier funding performance, contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities, and develop dashboards and reporting tools to enhance visibility and transparency.

Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders, prepare clear analysis and recommendations, support system enhancements, maintain financial control, and utilise data-led insights to drive constructive conversations and better decision-making, ultimately contributing to the overall financial success and strategic direction of the organisation.

Who you are

You are a part-qualified or qualified accountant with a strong commercial acumen and advanced analytical mindset. Your ability to connect financial insights to commercial decisions, work with large and complex data sets, and translate information into actionable insights is crucial in supporting effective management of Argos supplier funding. With a focus on financial control, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to driving change and process improvement, you play a key role in providing accurate reporting, clear analysis, and valuable recommendations to senior Finance and Commercial stakeholders. Your resilience, adaptability, and strong ownership ensure that you can manage ambiguity, prioritise effectively, and deliver high-quality outputs while driving continuous improvement in supplier funding performance management.

Essential Criteria

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with commercial business partnering experience
• Demonstrable experience using financial and commercial analysis to interpret business performance drivers
• Proven ability to analyse large and complex datasets, generating clear, actionable insights to inform business outcomes
• Evidence of maintaining financial controls, data accuracy and integrity, with a high level of attention to detail
• Proven ability to influence and build effective relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders, including presenting complex financial information in a clear and accessible way
• Evidence of implementing process improvement or new processes and reporting to improve insight and decision making
