Clinical / Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist - Harley Street (Thursday / Friday Evenings and/or Saturdays)
Harley Therapy
Job Description
Focus on your clinical work - we handle admin and marketing
Many of the practitioners we work with say the same thing: they genuinely enjoy their clinical work, value meaningful therapeutic relationships and want the space to practise thoughtfully, without being distracted by marketing, bookings or ongoing administration.
That’s the model we’ve built.
Due to client demand, we have an opportunity for an experienced, self-employed Clinical Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist to practise from our Harley Street rooms.
Availability of at least 8 hours per week is required on at least two of the following days: Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Thursday and Friday sessions run from 4pm/5pm to 9pm (four or five clients per clinic).
Saturday sessions take place any time between 9am and 5pm, with a minimum of five hours.
Examples of clinic patterns include:
• Thursday 5pm–9pm and Friday 5pm–9pm
• Thursday 5pm–9pm and Saturday 10am–3pm
• Friday 5pm–9pm and Saturday 9am–5pm
The opportunity
This setup tends to suit therapists looking to build a stable, long-term private practice where they can work relationally and clinically without unnecessary distractions.
You will practise independently, maintaining full clinical responsibility, along with your own supervision and professional insurance.
Harley Therapy provides the infrastructure around your practice, including:
- Centralised marketing and enquiry handling
- Bookings, payments and insurance administration
- Day-to-day administrative support
This allows you to focus your time and energy on your therapeutic work.
Applicants will either:
- Be registered with the HCPC, BPS or UKCP, with a minimum of eight years’ experience (supervised client work),
or
- Be a registered member of the BACP, with a minimum of 15 years’ experience.
NHS experience and longevity in previous roles are preferred.
Earnings
After room and admin fees, you can expect earnings of £100 per 50-minute session.
Client work
Client enquiries are varied, and you'll be confident working with a broad range of presentations, including more complex clinical work. This setting tends to attract practitioners who value depth, formulation and longer-term therapeutic work. The client mix suits practitioners who value depth, formulation and longer-term therapeutic work.
Why practise from Harley Therapy
- Well-appointed professional therapy rooms
- In-house marketing - no self-promotion required
- Administrative support six days a week
- No room fees when you take time off
- A long-term, stable environment, with many therapists working with us for over 10 years
- Two relaxed London-based gatherings each year
This setting attracts clinicians who value reflective practice, clear boundaries, and sustained therapeutic work, within a well-established and supportive setting.
If this way of working aligns with how you envisage your private practice, we welcome hearing from you.
