Troxy is East London’s iconic Grade II-listed Art Deco venue with a flexible 3,100 capacity across its dramatic Auditorium and circle. It blends historic character with state-of-the-art production to host everything from live music and award ceremonies to brand showcases, film shoots and private events.
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for passionate and driven Box Office Supervisors to join our busy operations team during each event. You will help to oversee the ticketing events each night, by aiding customers with any queries, checking people in, managing venue/promoter guest lists, selling tickets on the door, and being on hand to help the operations team out with any issues that come up.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Managing our box office on site at live events and acting as the main point of contact for all ticketing queries throughout the event.
- Collating and managing venue and promoter guest lists, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Managing ticket allocations on the night and keeping a keen eye on capacities throughout the event.
- Selling tickets on the door via Zettle and TM1, ensuring transactions are handled efficiently and accurately.
- Liaising with the events team and setting up the box office ahead of show, ensuring everything is ready for doors.
- Completing show reporting, including accurate post show settlement.
- Supporting late-night club events where required.
- Assisting with ad hoc jobs for the events team to support the smooth running of events.
- Working hours are allocated as per our events calendar and will vary depending on the event schedule.
What you'll need to have:
- Experience working in a similar venue / hospitality / live events environment.
- Experience running the door at live music events and club nights.
- An overall understanding of ticketing & allocation.
- Experience using a ticket system (TM1, DICE MIO, Headfirst, Spektrix etc).
- Using Ticket Scanners / Scanning Apps.
- Clear and confident communicator, both verbal and written.
- Experiencing working operationally, and within a mixture of departments.
- Problem solver, proactive thinker.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Calm attitude under pressure.
- A friendly and warm persona, with a genuine desire to help both customers and the Troxy team.
- Flexibility: you must be available to work evenings and weekends.
- A genuine love for music and live events.
Nice to have:
- Experience using Zettle POS products.
- Some experience of post-show settlements is desirable, but not essential.
