Job Description

Care Assistant – Home Care

Ruislip & Harrow Area

With Home Instead

Joining Home Instead means becoming part of a supportive and professional team dedicated to delivering high-quality care at home. We pride ourselves on employing compassionate, reliable staff and providing excellent training and ongoing support to help you succeed in your role.

Working Hours

Full-time shifts available:

• 7:00am – 2:00pm
• 4:00pm – 9:00pm

• Must be available to work alternating weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

About the Role

You will travel throughout the Ruislip and Harrow areas, providing high-quality care and companionship to clients in their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Personal care, including bathing and dressing
• Meal preparation
• Medication reminders and administration
• Light household and domestic tasks
• Companionship and social support
• Activities such as reading, puzzles, board games, or watching favourite shows
• Updating our care app after each visit so family members can stay informed about their loved one’s wellbeing

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

• Valid UK driving licence
• Access to a reliable vehicle for travelling between client visits in the Ruislip and Harrow areas

Desirable:

Whilst not necessary, any relevant care experience or qualifications are welcomed. However, no problem if you don't have these – you'll receive full, accredited training and ongoing one-to-one mentoring to help you feel confident in your role.
