Job overview:

This is a rare opportunity to work at the very heart of AXA UK & Ireland, supporting the CEO and helping to shape the rhythm, focus and impact of the CEO Office. As Business Manager, you’ll bring together priorities and perspectives across a complex, multi-billion-pound organisation—turning insight into action, bringing senior stakeholders together and ensuring the CEO is fully prepared for the conversations and decisions that matter most. From strategic briefings, Board and Management Committee activity to leadership communications, high-profile engagements and priority projects, you’ll gain exceptional exposure across the business and AXA Group. Working closely with the Chief of Staff, the CEO’s PA, Executive leaders and teams across AXA, you’ll play a trusted and influential role where no two days are the same—and where your judgement, energy and delivery will make a visible difference.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with the CEO’s EA and Chief of Staff to plan for the CEO’s fixed and movable diary commitments ensuring preparation for all meetings is in hand. Liaise with all relevant colleagues to drive and collate summarized briefing documents for all of the CEO’s meetings, discussions, (including collating and delivering papers, working with relevant senior management, ensuring issues are resolved and risks minimized to the satisfaction of the CEO).
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of all internal and external presentations and scripts for CEO meetings, ensuring messaging is aligned to business strategy and current issues and opportunities faced by the business.
  • Use initiative and work closely with multiple teams to manage the CEO’s internal and external visibility on social media.
  • Manage the delivery of all UK Board reports, and monthly updates to Group colleagues, co-ordinate delivery of all Management Committee papers / dashboards and timely reporting / follow up of updates and actions.
  • Track organizational performance from financial reporting, forecasting and data analysis.
  • Manage setting agendas for leadership team meetings, site visits, Group visits, business updates to ensure CEO is kept fully informed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across all AXA UK & Ireland business and AXA Group to ensure all key issues identified and resolved to the satisfaction of the CEO.
  • Work with Executive to develop and agree the goals and performance framework and annual target letters to allow effective people management by CEO. Collate documentation for Executive 1:1’s with the CEO, identifying areas for discussion during 1:1.
  • Coordinate and manage the agenda before and during the MC meetings.
  • Support / manage the delivery of key strategic projects on behalf of the CEO as and when required to do.
  • Manage the Business Manager Community – taking the lead on creating a cohesive working environment across the BM community by managing quarterly activities and social events
  • Support in the management of the CEO Office budget.
  • AXA Gracechurch Street Office Site Lead (Smart Working Ambassador), Leading a Working Group to enhance engagement on site and manage the site budget.
  • Covering for the CEO’s Chief of Staff or PA when they are on leave.

Work arrangements:

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) from December 2026. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.
