Job Description

BM Caterers is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista to join our dynamic team in London, United Kingdom. In this role, you'll be the heart of our coffee bar experience, crafting exceptional beverages and creating memorable interactions with our valued customers. We're looking for someone who combines technical skill with genuine passion for coffee and hospitality, bringing energy and professionalism to every shift.

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffees, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care
• Welcome customers with genuine warmth and provide professional, attentive service in a fast-paced environment
• Share detailed menu knowledge and support customers with allergen awareness and dietary information
• Maintain the coffee bar in an organized, clean, and visually appealing condition at all times
• Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies efficiently, and communicate stock needs to the team
• Process transactions accurately using the till system and handle payments with integrity
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and support colleagues as needed
• Consistently deliver exceptional customer experiences that reflect BM Caterers' commitment to quality
• Adapt flexibly to changing priorities and peak service periods while maintaining high standards

Qualifications

• A friendly, positive, and outgoing personality with genuine enthusiasm for customer service
• Authentic passion for coffee, beverages, and creating exceptional customer experiences
• Proven ability to remain confident, efficient, and organized in busy, high-pressure service environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers
• Excellent teamwork and collaborative mindset, with willingness to support colleagues
• High standards of personal cleanliness, presentation, and attention to detail
• Reliable time management skills and commitment to punctuality
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Previous experience in a barista, coffee shop, or customer service role (preferred)
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage service (preferred)
• Familiarity with till systems and payment processing (preferred)
• Ability to work flexibly, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
