Job Summary:

In this role, you will coordinate the day-to-day delivery of BIM and Digital Engineering on the project, working closely with the BIM Manager, engineering, construction and document management teams. You will administer the Common Data Environment (CDE), coordinate and quality-check federated models, and support the implementation of the BIM Execution Plan in line with ISO 19650. Drawing on your construction industry knowledge, you will help ensure models and information are accurate, constructible and usable for design, construction and handover, while training and supporting project teams in BIM tools and workflows.

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Support the BIM Manager to implement and maintain the Information Management Strategy and BIM Execution Plan (BEP), including EIR, AIR and MIDP/TIDP tracking, in line with ISO 19650.
  • Administer the Common Data Environment (CDE), including folder structures, permissions, metadata, workflows, status and revision control, in coordination with document management.
  • Coordinate federated models and lead model coordination and clash detection cycles with design consultants, subconsultants and contractors; track issues to resolution and report on trends.
  • Audit subconsultant and contractor model deliverables for compliance with the BEP, naming conventions, classification and data requirements; follow up on non-conformances.
  • Apply construction knowledge to review models for constructability, sequencing and interface issues, and raise findings with design and construction teams.
  • Support 4D sequencing and construction simulation by linking BIM models to project schedules; prepare model-based quantity take-offs to support progress tracking and reporting.
  • Apply and maintain project naming conventions, asset tagging, work breakdown structures and coding systems aligned with client and project requirements.
  • Customise, configure and automate BIM workflows, templates and reports to improve efficiency and data quality across engineering applications.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor model health, BIM/GIS use-case implementation and information delivery.
  • Prepare user guides and training material, deliver training, and provide first-line support to project delivery teams; conduct site visits to support BIM adoption and team engagement.
  • Support tender and procurement activities by helping prepare BIM requirements for RFP packages and assessing the BIM capability of respondents.
  • Collect performance metrics, user feedback and lessons learned, and recommend improvements to the BIM Manager.
  • Collaborate with off-project BIM and Engineering Automation functional teams for knowledge sharing and best practice.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in engineering, construction, architecture or a related field and 2–5 years of relevant experience, or 5–9 years of relevant work experience.
  • A master’s degree in construction, engineering or a related field is highly regarded.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Working knowledge of BIM and design tools such as ACC/BIM360, Revit, Civil3D, Navisworks and Synchro; exposure to ESRI GIS, Infraworks and Rhino.
  • Understanding of ISO 19650 information management principles and the BIM project delivery lifecycle.
  • Sound understanding of construction methods, project delivery and engineering, construction and project controls work processes, with the ability to apply this to model review and coordination.
  • Experience coordinating multi-discipline models, including clash detection and issue management.
  • Familiarity with 4D planning and 3D/BIM-enabled quantity take-off or estimating tools (e.g. Synchro, Assemble, CostOS).
  • Experience or interest in automating workflows and customising applications (e.g. Dynamo, scripting) is desirable.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, exercise sound judgement and assist less experienced team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain BIM and digital solutions to all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to collaborate and work within a culturally diverse organisation, recognising and respecting differences.
