Eurasia Group

Position Overview

We are seeking an Associate level candidate to join our Global Markets Advisory team in our London office. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven self-starter with up to 1-3 years of experience who is eager to build a career at the intersection of markets and global politics.

This is a dual-sided role based in our London office. Approximately half of the role is focused on team strategy and support across EMEA and beyond, while the other half is dedicated to new business, prospecting, and pipeline development for Eurasia Group's institutional client base.

Responsibilities

Team Support & Strategy

  • Coordinate travel budgets and logistics for the Global Markets team, ensuring efficient planning and cost management.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality presentations, spreadsheets, and PowerPoints that support team needs and senior leadership decision-making.
  • Plan, set up, and provide support for client events and engagements across European, Asian, and Middle Eastern markets.
  • Work closely and effectively with analysts, strategy teams, and all pillars of the firm as a value-added partner.

Business Development

  • Conduct targeted sales research to identify and expand Eurasia Group's institutional pipeline across a defined EMEA territory, segmenting prospective clients by asset type (Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Pension Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Investment Banks) and investment strategy to assess alignment with EG's advisory services.
  • Design and execute email campaigns and outreach initiatives tailored to specific client sectors and industries, sharing content and insights relevant to each prospect's business and investment process.
  • Proactively engage potential clients acting as a credible and enthusiastic ambassador for EG's political risk advisory offering.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Eurasia Group's research and advisory products and become fluent in articulating how political risk fits into client investment and risk processes.
  • Leverage Eurasia Group's global resources—in-country expertise, sectoral research, market strategy, and geo-economics—to generate solutions-based conversations with institutional investors.
  • Support senior team members in building and maintaining strategic account plans and new business pipeline tracking with the aim of progressing to the position of a salesperson, independently managing your own book of business.

Desired Skills

  • Up to 2 years of experience in financial markets, institutional sales, advisory, consulting, or a related client-facing environment; recent graduates with strong internship track records are encouraged to apply.
  • Some exposure to global financial markets and familiarity with institutional investor types (asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, etc.) preferred.
  • Background or demonstrated interest in Emerging Markets, EMEA geopolitics, FX, fixed income, or other relevant asset classes is a plus.
  • Demonstrated go-getter ambition: a proactive mindset, intellectual curiosity, and genuine enthusiasm for opening doors and developing new relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities—from event logistics and travel coordination to research and outreach—in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and presentation tools; comfort with platforms like LinkedIn and Bloomberg for prospecting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable interest in Eurasia Group's core political risk assessment competency.
  • Willingness and capacity to travel across EMEA and beyond on an ongoing basis.
  • Bachelor's degree required in International Relations, Finance, Economics, or other related fields.
  • Work authorization for the UK is mandatory
