Working with coverage, sales, product, operations, technology, risk and legal, the role develops commercially viable and deliverable solutions and supports transactions from structuring through execution.

Your accountabilities will include:

  • Act as a client-facing structuring partner, engaging directly with clients to understand their requirements, shape trade and working capital proposals, develop transaction solutions and support pitches and pricing discussions.
  • Develop and negotiate transaction structures and term sheets across open account, traditional and structured trade, commodity and export finance, supply chain finance, receivables and invoice finance, asset finance and similar solution incorporating digital assets where applicable, including links to cash management, payments and FX where relevant.
  • Lead transaction due diligence and financial modelling for assigned opportunities, assessing cash flows, pricing, returns, sensitivities, structural assumptions and key commercial, legal, regulatory, tax, operational, liquidity and conduct risks.
  • Engage implementation, operations, product, risk, legal and markets early to confirm operational readiness, documentation and implementation requirements, funding costs and any product exceptions or non-standard terms requiring approval.
  • Prepare first-line product analysis, Product Papers and supporting approval materials, including recommendations on transaction-specific credit limit allocation, and ensure submissions are complete and accurate.
  • Provide product and structural input to the underwriting and credit approval process, while escalating material issues and maintaining clear boundaries with coverage, sales, product, underwriting and credit risk decision-makers.
  • Coordinate the agreed structure through approval and execution, supporting documentation, negotiation, approvals, operational readiness and closing, and provide a clear handover of the approved terms, due diligence, financial model, dependencies and requirements.
  • Capture transaction and market insight to improve structuring practices, controls and propositions, while supporting junior colleagues and escalating risks or control weaknesses.

What we need from you:

Essential skills:

  • Experience in transaction banking, trade finance, working capital, asset-backed lending, securitisation, asset finance, credit underwriting or a related structuring and execution role, with good knowledge of relevant trade and working capital products.
  • Experience shaping, structuring and executing customised transactions for corporate and/or financial institution clients, including term sheets, due diligence, product approvals, documentation and closing.
  • Strong financial modelling skills across different transaction structures, including cash flow, pricing, returns, sensitivities and key assumptions, to support structuring decisions and approvals.
  • Working knowledge of credit, legal documentation, product governance, operational readiness and transaction execution, with a clear understanding of the respective roles of coverage, sales, product, underwriting, credit risk and implementation.
  • Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to assess client needs, transaction economics and risk, develop clear recommendations and escalate complex or material matters.
  • Effective client communication, collaboration, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to manage priorities and support junior colleagues.

Desirable skills:

  • A relevant professional qualification in treasury, banking, finance, risk or a related discipline.
  • Awareness of digital trade, tokenised money, digital payments or emerging settlement models.
  • Exposure to product development, proposition design or process improvement.
  • Understanding of corporate treasury and working capital operating models, including centralisation and multi-entity structures.
  • Experience across multiple trade, working capital or adjacent transaction banking products.
