Associate Director - Commercial Consultancy

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing safe, compliant and sustainable project delivery, maintaining excellence across quality, cost, programme and performance standards.
• Providing strategic leadership for project and commercial activities, overseeing contracts, governance and client outcomes.
• Driving ethical, financially responsible operations, supporting net zero ambitions and delivering value for clients and communities.
• Directing, mentoring and developing high-performing teams, fostering inclusion, continuous improvement and best practice in cost management.
• Directing commercial and contractual activities, overseeing contract execution, certifications, claims management and project close-out.
• Directing cost control, valuations and post-contract reporting, providing clear commercial insight to clients and stakeholders.
• Managing and developing high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement, innovation and excellence in cost management practices.
• Identifying and managing commercial risks, design changes and carbon reduction opportunities, supporting sustainable project outcomes.

You’ll need to have:

• Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent)
• Professional membership i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent) and moving towards fellowship, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
• Strong Bidding and business development experience.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Sound knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
• Management experience within large, diverse teams.
• Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
