Associate Director - Commercial Consultancy

You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing safe, compliant and sustainable project delivery, maintaining excellence across quality, cost, programme and performance standards.
- Providing strategic leadership for project and commercial activities, overseeing contracts, governance and client outcomes.
- Driving ethical, financially responsible operations, supporting net zero ambitions and delivering value for clients and communities.
- Directing, mentoring and developing high-performing teams, fostering inclusion, continuous improvement and best practice in cost management.
- Directing commercial and contractual activities, overseeing contract execution, certifications, claims management and project close-out.
- Directing cost control, valuations and post-contract reporting, providing clear commercial insight to clients and stakeholders.
- Managing and developing high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement, innovation and excellence in cost management practices.
- Identifying and managing commercial risks, design changes and carbon reduction opportunities, supporting sustainable project outcomes.
You’ll need to have:
- Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent)
- Professional membership i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent) and moving towards fellowship, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Strong Bidding and business development experience.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Sound knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
- Management experience within large, diverse teams.
- Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
