Interpath is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager for our Financial Services Transaction Services team in London. This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage with a diverse portfolio of Financial Services clients, such as banks, non-bank lenders, fintechs, asset managers, insurance brokers and others. The team has ambitions to grow rapidly and extend coverage to an even broader array of sub-sectors. As an Assistant Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on complex engagements, develop client relationships, and collaborate closely with industry leaders in a dynamic and entrepreneurial Deal Advisory practice.
Your responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of the transaction lifecycle, managing both buy-side and sell-side assignments. You will play a pivotal role in delivering successful transactions by collaborating with our Corporate Finance, Debt Advisory and other DD specialists across the Interpath network.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and delivery of Financial Due Diligence (FDD), Vendor Due Diligence (VDD) and Vendor Assist reports.
- Evaluate Quality of Earnings to identify extraordinary income and costs that impact underlying earnings.
- Analyse and benchmark Net Working Capital (NWC) based on historical trends.
- Identify debt-like items through an in-depth review of balance sheets and off-balance-sheet arrangements.
- Critically assess target forecasts, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
- Manage client meetings and act as a key contact for due diligence engagements.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of our Financial Services sector practice.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- ACA/ACCA/CFA qualified (or equivalent), with experience in Audit, Transaction Services or a related field; Financial Services experience is advantageous.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and strong team orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a proven record of managing senior client relationships.
- Experience supporting business development and originating opportunities is advantageous but not mandatory.
