Assistant Manager - Ffern store
Ffern
Ffern makes natural, luxury perfume. A new fragrance every season, with a cinematic world built around each one. Our store is where people step into that world - and we're looking for someone to work as our Assistant Manager of that store.
You'll be second in charge of the store and right hand to our Store Manager. On the days they're not in, you'll oversee the store and set the tone, hold the standard, and make sure every customer gets the warm, generous, unhurried service that Ffern is known for. This isn't about ringing through transactions. It's about guiding people through a whole experience - the stories, the ingredients, the seasons.
- Lead by example on the shop floor and work with the Manager to set the standard for customer service.
- Run the store's daily operations on the days the Store Manager is out.
- Own stock control - deliveries, write-offs and stock takes.
- Keep our visual merchandising looking beautiful.
- Work with the Store Manager on the rota so every day is properly covered.
- Coach and mentoring the team once you know the product inside out.
- Get curious about trading - what made today quiet, what made yesterday brilliant - and sharing what you notice.
- Join seasonal product training at our office before each launch, so you know every new fragrance before it lands.
- Experience of working in high-end or high-touch retail, where you guide customers rather than just serve them.
- A love for and confidence in approaching people and starting conversations.
- Experience of having honest conversations with colleagues around standards expected and idea sharing.
- Ability to work regular weekends.
- Experience as an assistant manager, senior specialist or keyholder ready for your next step.
- A background in luxury retail or a brand you feel is aligned with Ffern (please give detail in your application).
- Permanent, full time, five days a week including regular weekends. Four days a week may be considered for the right person.
- Based in the Ffern store, with seasonal visits to our office for product training, which is hear Old Street station.
- Reporting to the Store Manager.
Sound like you? We'd love to hear from you.
